I pop in and out of another an other forum because it is local, however it is really boring, you enter a post and maybe 2 or 3 days later they may be a reply. Overall, I like it here.

It's really not often I do this, in fact I could count on one hand since I've been here, (and hopefully something I don't feel again,) but I am pretty angry by this post TM and felt I had to respond.

Now I've never had a problem with you and we have talked before about something similiar, but not once did I or would I, as a frequent poster in both the mentioned threads ignore or talk down to you. TLW is nothing more than some fun that some of us (random fun at that,) and the Pub is just a place where you can talk to others about whatever you feel like, rather than a lot of other threads that have a designated topic.

Of course FOC is the same, and when I first arrived in there, I was warmly welcomed and felt at home straight away. This is exactly, how I, and everyone else that I know at the Pub especially, would greet anyone that enters, so to think that it is now some sort of members only thread, I find insulting and disappointing to hear to be honest.

It's only natural that all of us have our own preferred threads, some that we like, some we aren't too fussed about, and for me, I happen to enjoy the ones where you can just say hi to everyone else and talk about various topics. If you look at some of the more religious threads or heck topics on cooking, certain people will post a lot in there, as that is where they enjoy doing so, and can have a whole varied amount of conversations in there, which after all is what FG is for. So what makes those any different to the Pub for example?

All I can guess is that you dislike the people that post in the Pub and TLW often, as to why you take offence to these 'members only' threads and not others. I'm sorry to hear that you must feel this way, after all to me, it's only meant to be a fun, relaxing environment and nothing more. That's the way it was in the past, and what I hope it would stay in the future, for everyone that comes in there.

You can always post on the Ask Nomad thread. He's an equal opportunity abuser. :D

I do have my own groups that i am manager off and i struggle so much to get people to answer posts, or start new subjects, we all have busy lives i know but it beats me why people bother to join a group and then dont post to make the group a nice place to visit, and keep it alive. There is no problem here :)

If anyone is interested in looking at my group the link is in my profile.

Hugs Malady Ash.

Hi guys, I would love any of you or all of you lol to come and take a look at my site "Bell's Garden". You don't have to join, infact i wish you wouldnt if you don't want to join in with the group, I have a few members who have joined and then never come back to post and i think thats a shame cos we are only a small group but a friendly one and i wont put up with arguing of any kind.

http://bell53.proboards76.com/index.cgi

I would appreciate some feed back, even if its not the kind of group you are interested in. I am a member of a few groups myself and i try and post as often as i can on each one, I know how hard it is for the managers to keep their members interested. I try to add new content to my group often but if no one even comments on a post or adds too it the thread soon dies, and it's hard to keep a conversation going with yourself after a while :-3.

Ive been on threads in groups where the conversations stick to a few people and i have felt that i would be intruding if i posted on them, it's difficult to join in if you are a new member to boot.

So i am giving you an invitation to come and see for yourself what my group is like.

Give me some idea's or criticisms I am open to both.

Hugs malady ash aka bell53.

Hi I thought I would have a look at your site and see if I could come up with any comments, and I have a few.

First I don't think there is anything wrong with the layout, infact I think it's very nice, the font may be a little small for some (not me personally,) but if you are at least able to change it that may be of help.

Second, I feel that you do have a few too many similiar sections especially in your greetings in the garden. I think you could change from having one for every part of the day, into just one that would make the one thread more active, than several that aren't visited as much.

Finally I don't think you have to much to worry about with your forum, from what I've seen you have done a great job. I know from experience that's it hard to maintain a running forum, and I think that the key thing you have to do is try and advertise it as much as possible. I know some places that despite being excellent, friendly and having fun members, just were to hard to find in the first place, and so hardly anyone came. In that aspect I sadly can't help but if you can find ways of letting people know about the place, then I think things will improve for you.

Anyway I wish you all the best with your forum! :-6

Maybe we should start two different threads, "The Ladies Room" started by a woman, and another thread, "The Men's Room", started by a man. See which thread gets the most responses and how quickly.
