Didn't get my hot dogs, sourkraut, & mashed potatoes made last night. Cleaned the stovetop instead. Then, I just made a sandwich of turkey, lettuce, tomato, & provalone w/potato chips. Then went & scrubbed the bathroom.
Tonight, I'm going to renew my membership to one of the clubs, so maybe I'll just eat out.

Obby, your sandwich sounds delish. Oh yes, I have to clean out my bedroom this week and get Purple Heart over here to take this cr4p.

It wasn't bad, but I was more in the mood for ham, but didn't have any. It was either turkey or Lebanon bologna, which is what I have for lunch today. Do you eat Lebanon bologna? I love it!

are hot cakes like pancakes or our scotch cakes?
I googled
Scottish and Irish pancakes, locally known as drop scones, pancakes or griddle cakes, are more like the American type and are served as such (see below). Scottish pancakes are made from self-raising flour, eggs, sugar and milk with Irish pancakes being made with soda-flour and buttermilk.
Ahhh no I havent, only at breakfast time...I dont like to eat food out of sequence lol...Dont go there lol

I take 1 lb of bacon & cut & fry it just til it's barely crisp... don't over-fry it. Then take it out of the pan & drain most of the grease. Cut up a vidalia onion & sautee it in the remaining grease. When it's see-through, add the bacon, 1 big can & 1 little can of diced tomatoes & the juice, kosher salt (to taste) & garlic (I use minced garlic from a jar). Let that cook on med-hi for a while so that SOME of the juices cook off. You don't want them all to cook off! Meanwhile, cook your spaghetti & drain. Voila! You have bacon spaghetti! It's DELICIOSO!

Actually Carol, Kosher salt usually has no additives, and it has big crystals with large surface areas. This size and shape allows it to absorb more moisture than other forms of salt, and this makes kosher salt excellent for curing meats. That is essentially where the name comes from. The salt itself is not kosher, meaning it doesn't conform to Jewish food laws, but this salt is used to make meat kosher.
