Collecting Useless Things

Post by Pheasy »

Darling DH likes to collect pots to put things in. Mainly large ground coffee pots, which he says will be very handy to put screws etc. in, and store in the garage. Well thats a good idea I hear you say - and yes I do agree, but only if thats what happened to them. We now have a large collection of EMPTY 'useful pots for putting things in'! (as Winnie the Pooh would say).

So anyone else collect any useful items  :D

Well I have a collection of those cute little bugs that you get as souvenirs from museums or galleries. The ones that are different colours have big eyes and have a tag that tell you where you have been. I always collect one from wherever I happen to visit, must have about 50 or so at the moment. No idea why I started though, but I think they are great! :wah: :D

I knew a guy that collected toenail clippings he had them in jars in his basement. That was strange and disturbing. I wonder what happened to him.

Boxes.

Pretty cigar boxes, fabric boxes, small wooden boxes, souvenir boxes.

Of course, to put things in :wah:

The only difference is, I actually put things in them.

My wife started collecting husbands, but after her first one she lost interest! I, on the other hand am an avid stamp collector, so far I have a "past due" one on my water bill, a "return to sender" on an old post card, a "confidential" I stole out of a senators trash, and a "REVOKED" on my birth certificate!

I have a collection of souvenir spoons from all over the world. I hardly travel and some of the spoons are from places I've never heard of in my life. The collection got so large, I had to buy a special spoon rack to display them in. :-2
