Chips and Plaice

We were waitin in the chippy,

me and our lad,

We'd been for a few beers

and I was feelin kinda bad.

I ordered chips and scraps

with loadsa salt and sauce,

but our lad wanted the works..

said he could eat a bledin' horse.

So we're waitin in the queue,

the girl in front was sloshed,

and the fella sprawling over her

smelt like he needed a good wash.

She had a filthy mouth,

I could tell by all her swearing

and she was flashing all her bits

in that skirt she was almost wearing.

Our lad... he kept on gawping

so I gave him a sharp nudge.

I'm not the jealous type you know,

not one to hold a grudge.

But he didn't get the message

so I punched him in the face...

and while he slept off his 'hangover'

I scoffed his chips and plaice.
