Wow... sounds like you cooked out tonight, Wendy! :D

My fresh corn from the garden is about gone for awhile, though... I should have some more in another week or two, though. A cute lil' raccoon keeps toppling it over at one end of the garden... he prefers the SE corn. :wah:

I made up some fried potatoe, ground beef, green chilli, and tomatoe sauce mixture. It was pretty good on tortilla with cheese. Would of been better with sour cream though.:wah:

Pinky;683930 wrote: Cut up potatoes and put on to boil ready for mash.

Take one onion, finely chopped, fried with a bit of water instead of oil, add some chopped bacon and fry. Then add either beef or lamb mince (I prefer lamb) sprinkle with some gravy stock, some black pepper and a bit of cayenne pepper. Once the meat is cooked, add some peppers and simmer for about five mins.

(Usually, it's just onions, mince and some peas and carrots, but I think that's a bit boring).

Transfer to a heatproof bowl, add mashed potato (made with real butter..yum!) fork it over the meat and add a few slices of tomato to decorate. Stick it under a pre-heated grill until the top goes crispy and serve!
now that sounds awesome.

Can't have the shepherd's pie Pinky. I'm not really a great meat eater except for some chicken and pork. Just cannot eat a little lamb......hard for me to eat anything that goes baaaaa or mooooo. I know that chicken and pork are not great meats to eat but it works for me.

Tonight I'm making some super duper spicy vodka penna pasta with garlic bread and a nice green salad. For dessert I'm having a bowl of fresh fruit.

I'm undecided, yet... it's been awhile since I made shepherd's pie, though... but that sounds really good. That's has to be the simplest recipe I've ever seen, too. I'm going to try it just like that the next time I make it, too.

Tonight, though... it could be curried chicken, beef tenderloin with wild mushrooms and wine, or Copper River coho...
