isn't prostitution a disgrace to female woman?

Has anyone asked what the difference is between women that admit they are selling sex and women that go into relationships with men just because they are wealthy/successful?

I've known a lot of women that used themselves as a commodity to be sold to the highest bidder and are considered "classy".

The only difference, imo, is that the hooker is honest.

I'm more interested in the societal issues of the matter

I don't think it's a matter of 'allowing' others to do it. I believe it's more of a question as to why society allows this service in it's communities.

I'm not dumb on this issue I've known many prostitutes. what I'd like to know is , why board members and people in society in general, have decided it's a legitimate "choice" and a trade that should be encouraged by regulation.

Also don't just think about your own culture but of other cultures as well.

My question:

If prostitution were to stop altogether tommorow do you think it would effect you personally and in what way?

You have an amazing point magenta. It's really disgusting to know that my body parts have a price, as though they could be meat for sale. And you're right... if it's just business, then body parts are simply a commodity and the same as browsing for a new lamp or whatever at the store. I really wish I knew the going rate for my parts, then I could tell all the young women I know how much they're bodies are really worth. :yh_sigh
