There was a post a week or two about someone feeling they wanted to leave, in here, and everyone rallied around. mrsK made no fuss, but , I'm hearing now why she felt she had to leave. That's why I'm posting, she was hounded out, and my resons for thinking it was grossly unfair, I've already stated.

I've got nothing more to say on the matter, I said what I wanted to say. If mrsK posts, I will be interested what kind of reception she gets, and that is about it.

this was not started about MrsK, I am sorry for the abuse she took here and felt she had to leave, others have suffered similar abuse Clancy, many have left because of the abuse, other endured and stuck it out, some tried different tactics of managing their personal issues, not much seems to work, I started a thread to encourage people to think twice about leaving OK!

As for the how many more of you comment I made..... let's be honest here, when things get a little heated we suddenly see a rush of members come in here and add fuel to the fire then vanish, when on a day to day basis many do not contribute. In this thread here and now that I started I did not aim a gun at anybody....

The only thing that happened on FG, which is of relevance to FG, is that some of the newer members got upset about a Michael Jackson thread. It was worked out within a day. The offended member decided to stay and everything was settling nicely. All parties were encouraged to stay and let it blow over. Instead of letting that happen, it was seized as an opportunity to wind people up over the past. This had nothing to do with any past members leaving. If those members stopped looking for opportunities to jump in with loaded guns and start firing at random "somebody"s then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

What it comes down to is that every minor spat is used as a segue to point fingers. Perhaps there is a need for someone to start a Forum for internet counseling and group therapy. FG most certainly isn't the place for that.

Why don't you just name whoever this 'somebody' is, so we can all make up our own minds and let the garden return to normal instead of all this nasty behind the scenes crap going on.

No I did not start this thread to stir things up, I read some other post yesterday from a member who felt she wanted to leave I PM"d her and asked her to rethink and in kind she posted a very nice thank you back to me.... I then took it upon myself to post and ask others to try that tactic, I am tired of the muck flinging as much as others are.... I had my go last year to no avail.

From what i see it seemed a harmless enough thread until Clancy showed up.

I understand Clancy being upset that Mrs K has left, especially as its down to bully tactics but its no surprise, countless people have been bullied here in the past & muck slinging rife, however i dont see much of that lately. Well not until this thread :rolleyes:

Im wondering why you have returned Clancy, if its to say you are appauled by Mrs K's treatment, you said it, we heard it, you've been asked several times now who (someone) is & yet never said. Why is that? Thought you would have, it might keep the thread going a bit longer & get more people to fall out. Maybe your saving it 'for the icing on the cake' :sneaky:

You say your back to be amongst friends & yet your posts are bitter & venemous, almost troll like. If you truly were here to see friends you would say what you had to say about Mrs K's departure (1 post could have covered that) & moved on to post in other areas & have a laugh with your 'friends'.

Clancy, your posts in this thread until 2 posts ago implied that someone, presumably Nomad, did all these terrible things to Mrs K. Now you're saying that at least some were done to Snooze. Now I don't know what was done to Mrs K, and I'm not sure by whom.

All these cryptic questions remind me of Farenheit 911 & how it tried to pass off rumor as fact.

Clear up the rumors Clance & stop with the whodunnit mystery melodrama. Who did what to whom?

I had some brief conversations with Mrs K several weeks, maybe more than a month ago. She was fishing for information so I said run along. If thats what caused her to leave put my head in a noose now.

1) Why are you defending MrsK now? A lot of people have left and often for nefarious reasons. Maybe they'll come back. Maybe they'll post elsewhere. But why bring it all up now? What do you hope will happen?

2) If something nefarious also happened to Snooze, why is she not here telling us about it herself and demanding retribution? She is hardly the shy and retiring type. It was good when all the dirt was spilled about the 'behind the scenes stuff' before. Someone at the time said that it was good to keep it behind closed doors because it kept it out of the forum. But for those of us not involved, there was an awareness of stuff going on behind the scenes. People said things which made no sense but which others understood. People were suddenly friends who had never apparently spoken before. We all knew something was going on - we just didn't know what! And it was damaging the forum! So if snooze feels she has been harrassed and treated badly then let her come and tell us about it and open it up to discussion. It would be much better than talking in the third party and making vague insinuations that don't make any sense.

I had what sounds like the same exchange with her when she PM'd me for the first time, out of the blue, doing (I thought) just that around the new year. I asked at the end of my civil response who else would see my replies and was told with a formidable oath that she never had and never would share private messages or emails with anyone, to the extent of not even saying who she corresponded with. I realise that none of this sounds much like Clancy's description of events but I do speak with a first-hand copy of the text in front of me.

I dont save transcript myself but no matter. Clancy the clown is a master manipulator and believes himself to be coy and cunning. His outbursts and indignant tirades are typical, uninventive and lets face it, hes just some guy hunched over his pc out there in web world that thrives on dissecting words then twisting them to suit his or his weaker underlings needs. Very predictable and very tiresome. The best I can say about him is that he enjoys sending naked pictures of himself to FG members. At least thats colorful.

How much personal information shared with acquaintances made from this board are the business of each individual member. No one knows the name of my place of employment. To think that pictures of hatchets were sent to someone is pretty scary. It would mean that we have some real psychos here. But then again, one must take responsibility for their own actions, and how accessable they make their personal information. If I accepted an online date, and it went bad... should I blame someone here? Recently I was the victim of online fraud... should I blame someone here? It is pretty risky business to bait, insult, and otherwise infuriate people... especially strangers. We all choose friends according to personality traits that appeal to us. Its marvelous to stand up for people we like... but its childish to try to cram our friends down other peoples throats. I would be totally humiliated if anyone had to repeatedly take up for me. When you play with fire and get burned... you must be prepared to deal with the wounds.

I think this is more to do with the Content of the Thread rather than the Posters in the Thread.

We are human beings....we love disaster movies, gawping at traffic accidents, watching 'stonings' and 'executions'......sad but true.

I think Minks was making a valid point about people deleting their accounts. It is a very FINAL action to take...my own preference would be to leave the door open and flit in and out when 'IT' feels right.
