I'm on cloud nine, as of Jan 31st I am now on female hormone therapy and my breast are getting tender. At long last I will be more like the woman I am inside .

If you are happy about it, I am happy for you.
Surely you realize the mixed results you will get from your posts, and not all positive.

There are many women who don't feel like the woman they are inside. You are lucky.
Tip: in the later years don't pretend you know what it's like to go through menopause...dead giveaway. You'll never get it right.

(I did sense the sarcasm, but will ignore) And may I say that I've always respected you, not just because you use large fancy words that I have to look up, but also for your opinions which are sincerely admirable. (no sarcasm meant)

transgender issues are horrible. there was a documentary not too terribly long ago about a girl who lived her life as a man (no, not the tina brandon story). she had a 'male' mentality, and partly male body. she suffered terribly, and i believe eventually committed suicide. transgender people get next to no sympathy.
none of us are 100% male or 100% female. that's a biological fact. there's a wide spectrum of mixes of gender between the 'extremes' of male/female. 'hermaphrodite' is the common term for a person who has both male and female sexual organs - but again, there are wide ranges of same. there are also people who have perfectly 'normal' gender-appropriate organs, but inside, they know they came out wrong. that's where the transgender folks come in. through modern medicine, they can achieve a closer semblance of what they really feel.
it's worth noting that most cross-dressers are heterosexual males.
not that it makes one iota of difference, but i don't fall into any of the categories discussed. i'm male, not transgender or transsexual, not a crossdresser, not homosexual or bisexual. just a boring, white, middle class, middle aged, guy, who could stand to lose 20 pounds.
thus endeth the lesson. of course, once i lose the twenty pounds, i'll be able to say, with a straight face, thus endeth the lessen.

thanks, i guess. perhaps you'll come away from this wondering why i care about gays, transgenders, cross-dressers, whomever.
you know, i have many negro friends. i don't have anything against them. i just don't want them sharing the same drinking fountains us white folks use. makes me sick to think about it. and they definitely should not be allowed to marry our white women. it's an abomination.

When you go on a thread and say you'd kick a man's ass just because they are wearing pantyhose I would think you would expect someone to take offense. Just a thought.

what i wrote wasn't sarcasm. it was an example of what a different kind of bigot has been known to say.
you claim you have gay friends, but yet spewed bigotry about them. you may have gay friends, but they don't have a friend in you.

you claim you have gay friends, but yet spewed bigotry about them. you may have gay friends, but they don't have a friend in you.Your right. Just because I went to their gay wedding and a gay bar with them, does not mean they are my friends. Let's recind friends for associates. But my associates do not openly flame or place their unnatural lifestyle in my face. They have a right to do what they want, as long as it does not infringe on my rights. And I have a right to not like it when somebody does put it in my face. And you have a right to disagree with me. So what do we do from here?

So what do we do from here?as before. you do have a right to not like it. suggesting you'd do physical harm to someone because you don't like how they live their life is wrong, in my opinion - immoral
but you're right - there's nowhere to go from here.

I would not do physical harm just because of their lifestyle. If they put it in my face, well it may be different.
but you're right - there's nowhere to go from here.Thank you for a good debate. Good night. See ya on the other thread.
