DG's Baby Update

If you guys are outside my window I wont be able to focus on the task at hand!:D

We go in for IUI on Oct 2 or 3 but I might have already said that, oh and that woman at hubbie's work decided to keep the baby, she is having a girl.

IM fine with it. I prayed about it. Its not easy for someone to give up their child. As long as I keep the faith I'll be ok. Something will happen. My male boss who has no opinion one way or the other, just said to me out of nowhere: "I have a good feeling about your thing this month".

Weird huh?

I think I might cry. I can almost give you the exact day. If it changes I will tell you:

Sept 29 for measuring follicles (eggs) (scheduled)

Oct 2 for the HCG shot (tentative)

Oct 3 for the actual IUI (insemination) (tentative)

I have one really big mature egg and two others that are almost there (they might be ripe on Monday) so tomorrow night I give myself the trigger shot (Im N-E-R-V-O-U-S) and go in for insem on Monday at 9am. The whole process should be over by noon.

Hi DGal, you don't know me, but I don't like ignoring someone in trobule. My sister gives herself insulin shots daily. Not sure if that's at all similar, but what area do you have to give it?

She generally just "pinches" a bit of flesh and inserts/withdraws the needle while injecting at the same time. Does that make any sense?

Oh hell, I don't know if you should take that advice, cause I'd hate for it to be wrong.

Its JUST LIKE insulin, its "SUB Q" or in laymens terms in the fatty tissue, everyone says its nothin but Ive never given myself a shot before. Im sure its much easier than Im anticipating but Im still nervous!!!

Okay, if it's just like insulin, then you should be able to inject in either your belly, your thighs or your upper arms. She seems to prefer the thighs for whatever reason (perhaps it's less painful?). As I said, she just pinches a bit of the flesh, inserts the needle between her fingers then injects the meds. Takes her all of 2 seconds. I really hope it's successful

OMG I did the shot and my mom walked me through it. It was so easy. I hope I got enough meds. I will see the Doc on MOnday. Let you all know then!!!

OK. The IUI was performed around 10am this morning. I wont find out if it worked for at least another 2 weeks. So, Im going to do some praying. IM taking it easy today, juts lying on the couch with my feet up on a pillow.

IM nervous, excited, stressed, oooooooooo, I hope it works this time.

Less than a week before I can take a HPT. Next Monday!!

I dont know what this means but I am in a state of bending all kinds of things to sound great right about now: Anyway, I was driving home last night and saw a falling star. I made a wish on it and then turned on the radio. A song was on by the same artist who sings that song: "Waiting for a star to fall and carry you right into my arms, thats where you belong, in my arms, BABY, yeah."

Just a silly little thought, but hey it works for me!:D
