I made chicken and rice. I was not too hungry, so Rick ate my piece of chicken as well as his own, and I just had rice.

trust me you wouldn't of wanted to eat any of those burgers. Dave made them and got a little heavy handed with the seasoning salt. They were so bad the dog wouldn't touch it. :o

Why ostrich? Have I missed something? Quite possible, since I'm having difficulty

in triping crroectly. You mean animal protein (1y.)? I haven't had any today.

Maybe tomorrow. I must remember my vitamin pill, too.

I don't know if this is the correct thread..

Anyway, I would like to know how do you cook the ostrich steak.

In Italy ostrich is not easy to find and, whether found, it is not familiar..

And how it tastes like?

Thank you for your explanation...

I have a friend whose parents own an ostrich farm in Pa. We cooked it just like steak. Medium to medium rare. Basically tasted kinda like venison. It was good.

I don't usually eat dinner. But last night I had a chicken kind of stew with bread and after that I ate some chips and also had a few Chinese almond cookies.

But yesterday morning I went to my favorite Mexican place and had huevos rancheros with coffee and flour tortillas. :D

Everyone is eating pizza-I don't know what I will have.

I snitched a cupcake for lunch, a no-no for my tummy. But it sure tasted good at the time.

I'll probably have leftover halushky (sp?). It's cabbage sauteed in butter with noodles... and then I add kielbasa to mine.

I'm going to a fancy schmancy steakhouse in Boston tonight :)

I'm having dinner with an old boss of mine and her husband -- I haven't seen her for 20 years, but she was the BEST boss I've ever had.

It should be a great night of catching up.

Good wine, good food, great conversation . . .

Does it reallly get any better than that? :-6

Talapia marinaded in garlic, extra virgin olive oil, white wine, salt and pepper. Then I remove the fish from the marinade lightly salted and peppered the fish, then lightly breading it in flower and sauteed each side lightly brown. Once both sides are seared I then dump the marinade in with the fish and cook until the marinade reduces.

For the vegitable I chopped up bok choy and sauteed it with ginger in canola oil and a touch of orange juice, salt and pepper. OJ slightly sweetens the slightly peppery flavor of the greens and I don't use sesame seed oil because it has too strong a flavor.

I boiled up some long grain rice and placed some whole cloves in with the rice to give the rice an aeromatic quality.

:)
