A Lovely Little Bird

Post by Lon »

I awoke one morning

and left my nice warm bed

I walked over to my window

to view my wonderful homestead

Suddenly, I spied

a pretty little bird

with a lovely yellow bill

I beckoned him to come and sit

upon my windowsill

I offered and he accepted

my humble crust of bread

And then

I slammed the window

and crushed his little head

And then

I slammed the window

and crushed his little head
:yh_winkTwas then I noticed something

That I hadn’t seen before

There was another yellow beak

Then I saw something more

This beak was so much bigger

Than the beak upon my floor

This beak was followed by a giant bird

And headed for my door

My trusty baseball bat I grabbed

As I headed down the stairs

This nasty bird I’d give a whack

I’d settle his affairs

And then before I had a chance

To take a fighting stance

This big bird just bashed in the door

And knocked me to the floor

That sharp and yellow massive beak

Was inches from my neck

His beady eye was fixed on mine

I felt small and very meek

My heart began to pound

I KNEW THAT I WAS DEAD

I gathered all the strength

I had and pushed against

My bed……………..???

I glanced at my window

from my nice warm bed

I saw a pretty little bird

I covered up my head

Sorry, just could'nt help myself :D
