I can't agree with refusing refugees. If we only see the bad we can no longer enjoy the good that diversity can bring. Do I wish we were bringing in women and children only though - you bet. But that is simply the fear in me.

To spot – I think it is not a good idea to make any comments about something that you are unable to see for yourself because you are lacking the technology at the moment.
Bruv - you only watched about 3 minutes of that video and made an assumption that it was nothing but propaganda. Perhaps it may be a good idea for you to just watch the video in it's entirety, then you won't fall into the same trap that spot has found himself in – assumption.
BB – not sure where you get this 'decades' idea from. As far as I can tell, most of the masses of refugee/economic migrants film is fairly current. I believe that at around 8 minutes on the video there are rantings about 'hell to the UK' and 'hell to the police'. I don't think that these 'rallies/demonstrations' are deliberately stage-managed.
Also in the video there are statements that it is the intention of the Muslims to 'invade' European countries, have masses of children and thus take over these European countries and make everybody Muslim !
I know that I do not want to be forced back to living in the 'dark ages', and I do not relish the thought of being some bearded man's chattel.
BB if you look on YouTube you will find loads of reports/videos concerning the potential mass 'invasion' of Muslims (mainly) with intention of acquiring world domination . Indeed I find the whole idea a very chilling prospect, but it seems that many of you feel that I and one or two others, are getting paranoic about it all. We shall see, won't we?
What bugs me is that some people do not bother to watch the complete video before passing judgements and opinions. As far as I can tell, this video is a record of recent events involving thousands of trekking ( mostly young Muslim males ) people ranting on about taking over European countries ! When they arrive at their desired destination, it would seem that violence, rape and criminality are the order of the day and their opinions about the host country and the police force and people are sneering, threatening and derogatory in the extreme.

The broadcasts at that time were centred on the savage hooliganism of those people engaged in creating destruction and chaos in and around football matches. As far as I can remember there was little mention of the ordinary members of the public.
As regards the reporting of activities of travelling football fans to European matches, I remember that there was an air of disgust and shame and demands for a clampdown on those so-called British 'fans'. As it happened there was a ban placed on UK fans going to football matches on the continent for a couple of years (not sure of the length of that ban).
The behaviour of the British fans abroad at that time also reflected on British people going on holiday in European countries, causing a definite 'anti' against Brits. in general. This was quite understandable, particularly when continental holiday resorts were experiencing rampant, drunken hooliganism as well as the football hooliganism. British people in general were being classed as savage, drunken hooligans ! Unfortunately the drunken hooliganism is still happening in most of the holiday resorts abroad, so it is, again, understandable that people from these other countries have little time for Brits, particularly young Brits, who visit their country for a holiday.
As Muslims do not indulge in drinking alcoholic drinks, the frightening behaviour of the thousands of migrants invading across Europe, cannot be because they are drunk ! As, also, there are literally thousands and thousands of these migrants it is obvious that their behaviour and their aggressive attitude towards whichever European country they enter, reflects on Muslims in general. It also creates suspicion towards any Muslim who is resident in a western European country, simply because there are thousands and thousands of migrating Muslims !
Comparing this situation with that of the so-called football fans just cannot happen, as the numbers of Muslims involved are far, far greater than any group of Brit. football fans. This invasion by such vast numbers of Muslims, into Europe, could well be construed as a war. Maybe it could be WW 3 ! It is a carefully planned 'take-over' of Europe by Muslims who will inflict Europe with Shariah law. They are all shouting this agenda and threatening all Europeans that they will rape women and girls, beat up the existing residents and steal from them. These thousands of young male Muslims are hell-bent on vicious lawlessness, and are shouting triumphantly at the fear they are creating amongst their host country's native population.
Sorry, but to be honest, the present trouble cannot possibly be compared to the episodes of football hooliganism on the continent of a few years ago, as the numbers involved with this invasion are astronomical !
In general, the reporting of the continental football hooliganism and the reporting of the Muslim migrant invasion into Europe was and is fairly accurate. Certainly IMO there is no way that reporters can 'fiddle' those videos of thousands and thousands of migrants chanting their hateful and aggressive slogans. They were filmed as it happened and there was no need to embellish those films.
How much more evidence do you need, spot ? All I can say is try to get a look at that video and similar videos that are all over YouTube; yes, you'll need to install Flash-player ! Then perhaps you will be able to be in full possession of the facts, and thus able to formulate a more informed opinion !

Given that most Muslim mums will give birth to between 4 and 8 children, how long do you think it will take to Islamify Europe ?

That is how most of them appear on the clip, and on many mainstream news reports.
I have already answered, at length, the other two questions. Have you actually read my post ? If so, have you really understood what I have said ?

I'll leave it to future viewers to decide, as always. It's not something either of us can judge with any independence.
Is it not blatantly obvious from simple logic that Muslim refugees in general don't appear on news broadcasts or in propaganda clips, for example?
Having red your posts in this thread, no, I don't see a direct answer to my three questions. I see a lot of talking around the topic, but no direct answers. I doubt anyone else can either.

Here you go with the 'propaganda' bit again! There are far too many clips on utube for it to be mere propaganda. Large MUSLIM crowds chanting hate slogans is NOT propaganda, Spot! It's called an event.... You need flash player to see these clips; without it you are going by second hand opinion and info, which is hardly ideal for formulating a balanced opinion. I wholly agree with G#Gill on this topic.
I have read G#Gill's posts(s) on this subject, and as far as I can see she's answered your queries at some length.

Ooh... perfect context. I'm reeding Professor Mary Beard's SPQR which came out last month, let me type it in...One of Gaius' opponents, addressing a contio, or public meeting, conjured up visions of Romans being swamped. "Once you have given citizenship to the Latins," he urged his audience, "I mean, do you think there will be any space for you, like there is now, in a contio or at games or festivals? Don't you realize they'll take over everything?"

I have watched the entire 19 odd minute video, but my opinion of it's cleverly edited content is more convinced of it's intention.
Some of the 'frightening' footage looks to me as if it was filmed in Africa,it was all shown without context............it didn't matter anyway......it wasn't intended to enlighten, only to create fear. Some was Newsreel footage and without the background story shown for effect only, and it worked very well.
I am thinking of the angrily throwing water bottles sequence, as if the young men were ungrateful. In fact if my memory serves me, they had been promised they could travel onward with tickets they had bought, but after days of delay they were told they had another hurdle of some sort........and the frustration showed.
The 'scary' rampaging hoards of charging people were desperate to make deadlines for buses or borders closing. The violent kicking and punching sequences could have been any town any Saturday night, cleverly cut together with dramatic music interspersed with migrant footage.
More propaganda from the past HERE Some of it parallels the modern stuff.

In which case I will keep my thoughts to myself, Bruv. You all seem to be of the opinion that all those videos are, in fact, fake reports just for the sensationalism aspect. But you haven't explained away all those thousands and thousands of migrants that are invading various countries in Europe and once they are there, they sneer, insult, threaten and commit atrocious crimes in those host countries.
Sweden, at the moment is experiencing a horrendous increase in rape and violence. Are these reports also lifted from past and historical news bulletins ? Why did High Threshold move away from the city centre area to the outskirts of his Swedish city ? He has told me that it is due to the Muslims movng in to the city in their thousands and bringing their dreadful crime wave with them, which includes rape, violence, robbery and general lawlessness; he should know because he lives there! Have you asked how the Swedish ordinary people feel about the violence shown towards them by these so-called migrants?
Oh, and BTW Bruv, there are an awful lot of black African Muslims you know, so it isn't surprising that some of the footage looks as if it was filmed in Africa. Actually all the footage shown could have been filmed in any country, couldn't it ? Just look at Bradford - anybody would think they were in Bangladesh or Pakistan if it wasn't for the architecture !
Tell me Bruv, why are these migrants mostly all young men ? Seems more like an army of fit energetic angry people to me !
Well you sure have convinced me that I'm worrying over nothing, so next time there are reports about violence amongst these 'poor refugees' I shall smile and tell myself there is nothing to worry about, as people on Forum Garden tell me that everything is a 'put up job' just for sensational publicity and to sell papers etc.

Loads of videos of violent facist rallies with groups such as EDL, Britain First & BNP, etc. could, by the same logic, be said to be typical of every White Brit. Well, not in MY name as far as that is concerned.
Also, it is worthy of note that despite what rhetoric has been spread in the media, not one of the terrorists - not only in Paris, but all the other places that were not given such coverage was a refugee. Indeed, it appears that the co-ordinator of the Paris incident - a known terrorist - was from Belgium. Hardly a refugee.

Well, the only news I found disturbing in Sweden was about riots back in May, that were triggered by police killing a young Muslim. Not unlike the Ferguson thing over here.
Yes there was a young man just arrested as a suspect in planning terrorist activities.
The real disturbing news from Sweden was THIS: Swedish hotels ban bacon from breakfasts - The Local

Swedish rape statistics ?
Two different views follow.......................you have to decide which is biased or ill informed........or propaganda.
Sweden reformed its sex crime legislation and made the legal definition of rape much wider in 2005, which largely explains a significant increase in the number of reported rapes in the ten-year period of of 2004-2013. The Swedish police also record each instance of sexual violence in every case separately, leading to an inflated number of cases compared to other countries. Additionally, the Swedish police have improved the handling of rape cases, in an effort to increase the number of crimes reported.
Forty years after the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the formerly homogenous Sweden into a multicultural country, violent crime has increased by 300% and rapes by 1,472%. Sweden is now number two on the list of rape countries, surpassed only by Lesotho in Southern Africa.

@ Bruv, reading those two quotes that you have posted, I am tempted to take the view that the real facts are probably in the second example. I still say that one should wonder why High Threshold moved away from the centre of the city to the outskirts.
I go by what he has told me in a PM a while ago - he is not happy about how the violence is spreading outwards from the city centre, and that is why he has moved away from the centre.
But, as I said in my previous post, I have my opinion and you lot have yours. I would rather be prepared and find it unnecessary in the end, than to be taken unawares. I feel that all the signs are there of an impending violent confrontation between masses of 'invading' economic migrants and the existing resident population. They already are experiencing this in Germany and other European countries (including Sweden), and it won't be long before it is happening as a regular thing in the UK.

But you haven't explained away all those thousands and thousands of migrants that are invading various countries in Europe and once they are there, they sneer, insult, threaten and commit atrocious crimes in those host countries.
You must recognise that all videos are, by their very nature, a reflection of the bias of the director / editor in that they are a (very small) selection of the scenes and events portrayed. Given that there is selection of material it is inevitable that the views and intentions of the selector distort the reality being portrayed and, given that the reports are prepared in order to sell newspapers / enhance the reputation of the broadcaster / ... then they will tend to enhance the sensational aspects of the events (after all, no-one films the mundane to show prime time).
Also, even if there are thousands and thousands of migrants that ..., that is still only a very small percentage of the millions of migrants worldwide.

I'm just trying to provide some balance - you brand every economic migrant as lawless, I say that the majority of the economic migrants at genuine and law abiding and that it's the nature of news reporting that we see a disproportionate coverage of those who aren't.

The very notion of national borders is antiquated and ethically abhorrent. The sooner everyone becomes a citizen of the world, the better.
This whole idea of "I live here so I deserve more than he does" is insupportable.
The net sum of human happiness will increase as a result of abolishing borders, with no injustice to those who might be inconvenienced.

Spot I think you are aiming at Utopia ! Whatever happened to the 'borderless' Europe, where passports were supposed to be a thing of the past. Where people could move from one country to another and perhaps be able to find a more appropriate job for themselves, without having tedious border checks. Europe hasn't worked, has it ? So how on earth will it work all over the world ?
You are being very fanciful. The idea, of course, is good ! But we are all human beings and there are so many different cultures, many of which clash, and we all have this unfortunate tendency to be argumentative and warlike!

I have no problem with the European system.
Some countries require an identity check at borders and on demand anywhere within their country, yes. All air flights require an identity check by passport, yes. Nevertheless, I have a right to move to, and live in, and work in, any country of the EU (just as I previously had the same rights with respect to, for example, Lancashire) and any citizen of any country in the EU has a corresponding right to do the same in the UK.
The requirement to produce a valid EU passport for various purposes is an administrative issue, it creates no bar on me and no bar on any other EU citizen.
If this existing EU system is extended worldwide, I shall be happy to leave matters like that.

Andrew Neil's welcome to "This Week"
Welcome to This Week.
The week in which a bunch of loser jihadists slaughtered 132 innocents in Paris to prove the future belongs to them rather than a civilisation like France.
Well I can't say I fancy their chances. France, the country of Descartes, Boulet, Monet, Sartre, Rousseau, Camus, Renoir, Berlioz, Cézanne, Gauguin, Hugo, Voltaire, Matisse, Debussy, Ravel,Saint-Saëns, Bizet, Satie, Pasteur, Molière, Frank, Zola, Balzac, Blanc.
Cutting edge science, world class medicine, fearsome security forces, nuclear power, Coco Chanel, Chateau Lafite, Coq Au Vin, Daft Punk, Zizou Zidane, Juliette Binoche, liberté, égalité, fraternité, and crème brûlée.
Versus what? Beheadings, crucifixions, amputations, slavery, mass murder, medieval squalor, a death cult barbarity that would shame the Middle Ages.
Well IS or Daesh or ISIS or ISIL or whatever name you're going by - I'm sticking with IS, as in Islamist scumbags - I think the outcome is pretty clear to everybody but you.
Whatever atrocities you're currently capable of committing, you will lose.
In 1,000 years' time Paris, that glorious city of lights, will still be shining bright, as will every other city like it.
While you will be as dust, along with the ragbag of Fascists, Nazis and Stalinists who have previously dared to challenge democracy and failed.
And I don't particularly like the bloke.

makes a good point, and one I agree wholeheartedly with.
The guy in the video is splitting hairs.
As far as Netanyahu, he was talking of a specific threat to his country. A threat which I am sure is not lost one Israels neighbors.
A nuclear Iran a danger to all its neighbors.

Not as many as that, I believe.
Supposedly, they have none. That is what all the discussion over the last year was about. Keeping them from having any.
I think that we should just see that every country has them. An armed society is a polite society, according to our gun nuts. Why not just take that philosophy to its logical extreme?

Does anybody remember a film called "War Games" brought out in 1983, about a student who hacked into the major computer system which controlled the missile launching in America. The student wanted to play a computer game called Thermonuclear War.
When I saw it, it sent a chill down my spine that maybe this could actually happen, particularly with certain countries who now have nuclear missiles. Somebody could misinterpret something on the internet, believe that an aggressive country had unleashed nuclear missiles at them, and 'press the button' ! No point in making a will as there won't be anybody left to leave anything to ! Now don't anybody tell me that something like that could never happen !

That's all very true, but consider a council estate where 95% of the people are peaceful and law-abiding, and the other 5% are thugs, drug dealers, muggers and burglars. That 5% is all that's required to make the estate a fear-filled battle-zone! When we're talking Islam and the call from many hard-line Mullahs to Jihaad, surely the risk of a swiftly spreading 'religious fire' is apparent?
I shudder at the many images of crowds of young Islamic men shouting their hate for us, and their plans to Islamify us all whether we like it or not. If we want to see the rise of the far-right in this country, we're going the right way about it! If you need evidence of this, just have a look at Greece. They have a party there called "The Golden Dawn" which is far-right and claims it is the only party in Greece trying to preserve Greek culture.
The worrying and sad thing is they may be right about that.
