A longish story but stick with it please.
My sister is retraining to be an Adult Literacy teacher. As well as the colleg course she does one day a week work experience, prisons, probation centres etc. This week she was at an Asian womens centre.
16 People turned up for the day of which 14 were in the full get up, gowns headscarfs etc. My sisters brief is to just sit and observe whilst the teacher for the day get's on with it. The teacher in question was of West Indian origin.
As this was the first lesson with this group the teacher decided to break the ice by getting all the students (ages between 24-43) to answer three questions.
1) Who was their dream man (actor, singer, sports star etc)
2) What was their favourite food
3) Where would they most like to visit.
My sister was introduced and asked if she would go first.
her answers were
1) Colin Firth
2) Curry (that went down well)
3) Australia.
The students then answered the same questions.
100% answered question 1 with the following answer
1) MY HUSBAND!!!!!!
Question 2 answers were a mix but generally spicy chicken of some sort.
Question 3 reply was (again 100%) was they would not only like to visit Saudi Arabia but live there!!!.
At the break my sister questioned the teacher as to whether these were normal responses. Her reply was that it was entirely typical. The response to the man question was given because they all knew each other and if it got back that they had not answered HUSBAND they would have to face the consequences.
The teacher had once questioned a group about the Saudi Arabia answer and informed her students that it was very easy for Muslms to emigrate there and indeed Saudi government encourages it. She put it to the students that maybe they would be happier living in a muslim state such as Saudi or Pakistan, the replies were again unanimous and delivered apparently without a hint of shame.
Pakistan - No because that's where they had come from to escape grinding poverty, poor education and a lack of a benefits system.
Saudi - No they would prefer to remain whilst their children were educated for free in britain plus which the benefits system was not as good as the UK!!!!

This is interesting but predictable I think. It would be interesting to know what questions the authorities ask BEFORE these people are allowed into the UK. I don't believe that they are all afraid for their lives in their own countries....poverty...yes... maybe....I normally look for the best in people but I am very suspicious about their motives. i live in an area where there were not many muslims, but I have noticed that more and nmore are moving into the area and giving social housing. worrying....
I have noticed that a lot of British born white people are converting to Islam....why do you think this is ??
