I think so many of those people are really remarkable. i have to hand it to them. Not the rioters and the shooters, but the good people who are trying to help their neighbors by doing things like opening the Wal Mart and the people who are trying to clear the lumber.

I've been through a Category 4 hurricane and the aftermath is a miserable experience. It is natural for those victimized by this storm to feel abandoned and neglected. It happens with all hurricanes. However, the logistics from Katrina have posed a unique and unusual challenge. Whatever you can do to help these people, no matter how small it may seem, please do it.
