Guys and gals of the Garden.....Important news....

I am now a Supporting member of Forum Gardens and how proud am I ?(excuse grammar)

It was dead easy to make a donation and Ã‚£14.00 ($25.00) for a 2 year membership is an absolute bargain. I have already had hundreds of pounds worth of fun and entertainment in just a few weeks not to mention the support in moments of need ..... free counselling...where else can you get that ?

I can't wait to go off and explore all the extra goodies that come with paid membership....I've already added a signature (ummm....will do better later).

The work that has gone in to establish FG and maintain it cannot be imagined ...the guys running things here deserve all the support we can give them....sooooooo.... if you were thinking about donating and becoming a Supporting member, STOP thinking about it and just DO IT.

For all the joking I do and yanking everyones chains there is one thing Id like to say in all sincerity...this is a top notch operation from admin all the way down to the lowly foopy. Ive seen what a forum that doesnt work looks like and much of it has to do with the members themselves of course, their ability to maintain composure and speak and act reasonably intelligently

But (and I honestly dont know who admin even is) they do a stellar job in providing a place for mental deficients such as myself to come and hang out with a damned fine group of people, so thank you from top to bottom !

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the nice words. Yes, donations sure help FG. As you know, it's financed by myself and Anastrophe. FG costs a pretty dime every month to run just on the bandwidth alone. (Think 8 to 10 GB's of traffic per day.) We are saving our pennies to purchase a dedicated FG server - but still have a little ways to go on that one.

The question about changing plans is correct. We've been moving the dollar amounts and timeframes around a bunch. Not to worry though - since whatever you signed up for has been grandfathered for you. (To your advantage.)

We are currently at $25 for two years. We will be adding a yearly subscription pretty soon as well.

If you became a member early on and sent us $5.00, $10.00, or $20.00 for a shorter timeframe, just drop us a note. We will be super happy to extend your time.

After last nights euphoria and subsequent post, I would just like to say that whilst I was encouraging those people who can afford it to subscribe to support the forum, I also realise that quite often FG is a lifeline for those who maybe flit in and out or hover a while for advice and comfort. I was in no way trying to bully people to hand over money that they can't afford.... I have learnt that the soul of FG is freindship, fun and compassion..no one should be excluded from this by having to hand over a few pounds/dollars.

I apologise to those who thought I was being pushy , bullying , spamming or taking a back hander....have a good day....hope we are all still friends

I agree Bez! I became a supporting member about 15 minutes after I joined! It's the best! Maybe I'll become creative enough to think of a good sig.
