Oil for illegals

Post by Wolverine »

Michael Savage, a radio talkshow host, has a fairly decent idea: oil for illegals.

we have approximately 20 million illegals from Mexico. we spend our tax dollars to feed, clothe, and care for them.

Mexico is #3 on the list of oil reserves in the western hemisphere; 48 Billion barrels.

We should get a barrell per illegal per month. that's an extra 20 million barrells every month.

Changing topics.............

With gas prices going up and up and up, when will the Gov't step in? and i am reffering to the stockpiling of the oil companies. Exxon/Mobil is predicting a

$42 Billion profit this year alone. that means that after the company pays ALL of it's employees, Executives, share-holders; after it pays money to everything and everyone the company owes money to, they are going to have $42 Billion left over.

and Exxon/Mobil is the 3rd largest oil company. why do they need that much money left over? I am fine with companies making money, but not at the (over) expense of the public. why not reduce gas prices and only make a $22 Billion profit?

LOL...I like the oil for illegals idea! If only life were so common sense, eh?

As for the gas companies...they are RATS. Only traitors would sell out their own people for a profit. But then, a multinational company doesn't need to be loyal to any one country do they?

They should watch out, though. the last time the rich got too rich and the poor got too poor...Rich French dudes started losing their heads.:wah:

and I'm not kidding.

you are absolutely right. I mean, i don't know if you feel it, but something is coming. now i don't mean a radical societal upheaval, but maybe drastic changes in DC. maybe directly messing with our wallets will get the non-voters out to vote. ya think?

They are playing the consumer like a flyfisherman plays a trout. They will raise the price as high as we're willing to pay, maybe drop it a little if we scream too loud, then raise it again even higher. Our only hope is for them to raise prices too high too fast and snap the fishline. There are alternatives, but they will continue to be too expensive until demand increases. It's simple economics.

Price controls do nothing but encourage status quo. Let supply & deman slay this giant. It will take awhile, but people will eventually wake up and kick this addiction.

People are already cutting back. The price of all goods food, clothes, all of the necessities are rising. Many people have little left to blow on a movie or a latte or spend $300 on an Ipod.

I think that the long term effects of this is going to be very painful.
Call it economic DTs.
