Can you stop eating French Fries???

Just heard on the 6:00pm news, French Fries got a bad rap, & puts Scare in Food Industry. Some excerps taken from the news:

Tests showing high levels of a suspected carcinogen in french fries is throwing a scare into the food industry.

The latest tests, conducted by the Center for Science in the Public Interest and disclosed Tuesday, stated high levels of acrylamides -- a substance used to make plastics and purify water -- in french fries.

The World Health Organization is holding a special meeting of scientists this week at its headquarters in Geneva to discuss the results of research done in Sweden, Norway and Britain, and set priorities for further research. It is expected to make recommendations to food agencies and consumers on Thursday.

Acrylamide appears to be formed by a chemical reaction during cooking. The highest levels of acrylamide have been found in foods cooked at high temperature, such as french fries.

So now they're picking on our French Fries, what's next Pizza??? Is nothing sacred??? When they cite Chocolate as bad for us, I know many that will want to shoot those test junkies. :wah:

Ghee, I just got through eating a nice big chocolate bar, I don't care what's in it, it tasted good!

At lunch today, I orderd a double order of FF's and they were delicious!!!

They can stink their tests in their ear!!!:wah:

Oh for heavens sakes! We listen to these people and we wouldn't be eating anything. Margarine is better than butter, oops, no it's not...chocolate is bad for you, oops, no actually it helps with various diseases...alcohol is terrible, oops,no, actually it actually helps the heart and other organs if used in moderation. Back and forth they go. I'm eating fries. I'm eating whatever I want to. And they will just keep spending money on studies.

You haven't lived untill youv'e had "Aussi Fries" in the Outback Restaurunt!!!

Seasoned coated FF's, Bacon chips, "3" different cheeses melted all over them & White Ranch dipping sauce!! Out of this world, if you gonna die, die eating these, you'll have a big smile on your face!!!

I'll admit I was a fast food fry junkie! The more salt the better...at least until Arby's came out with those jalapeno poppers stuffed with cream cheese. I figure they're good for me because jalapenos are green, right?

I love mayonaise and fries too. I wouldn't mind trying some of those 'Aussi fries' too....mmmm...
