ok a strange thread to put in just for the fun of it but give me a second.......!

i was watching the film serendipity this afternoon (such a good film one of my faves) and at the end the guys best friend writes his obituary (he doesnt actually die but he has a broken heart and becomes a changed man so he writes this really sweet paragraph about him etc etc)

so...... anyone out there know what they would write as their own obituary? doesnt have to be as if youve actually died tho! or what you would write for the person you love most? or someone whos going through a time of change in their life?

odd topic.... doubt many will take it on but im bored so thought id post it!!!

now what would mine be....

pink princess died a death of her tangled life 2 years ago. she had lived a life a shadow of what she really desired and gave up every goal she had because she was either too scared to admit what she wanted or she wanted others to get there first. pink princess can now be found residing in a place called heaven. she has the love of her soulmate and although her childhood dreams are long lost and forgotten she is now forging new ones which she will not let fall by the wayside.

bit naff really!

this is gonna bug me now! gonna have to think about this and come back to it!

i had a heart attack and nearly died last december. Bothwell sent me this..........Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone.

Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,

Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

Scribbling in the sky the message He is Dead,

Put crêpe bows round the white necks of the public doves,

Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last forever, I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun.

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;

For nothing now can ever come to any good. __________________

ok here we go got it:

this is the obituary read out about him..... in the next seen he meets his destind soulmate again they kiss and the next scene they are a few years on all happy together and romantic and lovely and slushy and cute and fateful and destined and lovey and happy....... ill stop now!

possibly one of the best moments in film this:

Johnathan Trager, prominent television producer for ESPN, died last night from complications of losing his soul mate and his fiancee. He was 35 years old. Soft-spoken and obsessive, Trager never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. But, in the final days of his life, he revealed an unknown side of his psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like pursuit of his long reputed soul mate, a woman whom he only spent a few precious hours with. Sadly, the protracted search ended late Saturday night in complete and utter failure. Yet even in certain defeat, the courageous Trager clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Asked about the loss of his dear friend, Dean Kansky, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author and executive editor of the New York Times, described Johnathan as a changed man in the last days of his life. "Things were clearer for him," Kansky noted. Ultimately Johnathan concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we crrently refer to as destiny.

Pink, you know whereof i speak. when Bothwell and i are together we watch 4 weddings , in the unlikley premise of a brit loving a yank. we laugh about it and cry about it. imagine a proper Brit and an American cop! but it works.

I found this in my daughters journal last year - I guess in her way - its her good bye to me - but boy does it fit!

My mom- I can tell you about my mom..She loves kids. She loved them so much she had 4. I am the oldest and I have to be strong. My mom was the best mom ever. She sat on the couch and dried our tears. She fixed us up if we had a crash. She would listen to my music and if she didn't like it we would compromise. When she had a son and was very sick, she was scared she would die before he got rasied. But we raised him up to be a good boy. My mom went through a lot. She is bald and beautiful. She would fight back against cancer everytime. My mom will win. She doesn't want her wig on in her casket - she wanted to wear no socks too. IF she goes to heaven she will be in Gods army because she is so tough. My mom was a good daughter and sister too. Just ask her family. My mom is the baby of 12 kids and she got picked on a lot. Sha said thats what made her tough. I will miss my mom. She is my best friend and she is the best mom. One day she told me that we were going to go on a trip. She told me to pick anywhere in the world that I wanted to go. She went to the bank and came back and said we are going to the Broncos football game and we did! We drove all night and spent a week there They won that day because my mom was there. It was her last football game and her first. It was awsome. My mom made everything on her list come true. She made my sisters and brother pick something and we did it all.I will miss my mom...she is awsome. Please God take care of her.

My daughter was 10 years old when she wrote that--I asked her if I could share it and she said -since I am not going anywhere I could cuz she would write another one. LOL:-4
