The wreckage of a WW11 US fighter plane has been found in the Fijian jungle,62 years after it crashed.
A villager from the central highlands of the country's main island - used as a major base in the war against Japan - was hunting wild pigs when he stumbled across the wreckage.
It is believed to be an Aircobra which disappeared shortly after take-off in early 1942.
The pilot has not been identified as yet.

Ditto. An uncle who was a WW2 pilot. He died in Europe though.

Hillwalking in Scotland you still come across bits of plane from ww2 crashes, makes you wonder what the crew were like. Two american planes crashed last year in the cairngorms, there are always the odd little bit they miss after such events.
