Try some coping skills...heres a good one, it's the self-hypnosis I learned inthe Air Force to deal with the immense stress of being a fighter pilot.
When you feel those bad thoughts beginning, see them in your mind on a chalkboard, being written.
Take a few deep breaths, slowly. Close your eyes and relax your muscles, face and jaw first then the rest of the body.
Now conciously begin to erase the chalkboard. As the board erases, the thoughts go away too.
Now... think about times you were happy. A day at the lake, a time you went camping,
a picnic when you were young, floating down a river....
Open your eyes, clear eyed, clear headed and feeling better.
