John Prine - Country/Folk singer and songwriter A victim of COVID-19

The first time I heard John Prine's music was shortly after his first album released.

Like so many others at the time, A friend dropped by with the new album, and said, you gotta hear this.

Prine was famous for understatement about life, and music. He wrote about the humor in everyday life. He had the knack for looking at normal things, and seeing the absurd.

He also could cut right to the bone of the heartfelt side of life.

Sam Stone was one of the formative songs in my life - he will be greatly missed.
