The Painted Bunting is one of our most beautiful visitors to America.

If you live in TX, NM, southern CA or parts of AZ you may be lucky enough to see them as they migrate northwards from tropical Central America and Mexico during the summer months.

Despite their colorful plumage they are fiercely territorial and quite agressive in their behavior.

If you live in any of the above states put out some fruit and mixed seed on your feeder and watch closely!
