Phenom 300 jet crash

Post by spot »

The Bin Ladens' private jet came down beyond the runway this afternoon in Hampshire having flown from Milan, if I got that right.

I googled Phenom 300. It's built by Embraer in Brazil, they've sold 500 of them. They don't go very fast though, it's the Chevrolet CMV of the jet world.

Their site has a click button marked "Embraer Executive Jets Store". Sadly, you can't buy one online, but it's an impressive label.

You could buy one new offline for $9m, including license plates and a full tank of fuel.

So, who's going to tell me not to speculate until the Air Accident Investigation report comes out?

For most folk, a certain amount of speculation is inevitable as everyone has their own opinions on what might lie behind any given accident/incident, though I personally won't commit to a"firmed-up" opinion until I know all the facts available and read/listened to the CAA report. As it stands, it looks like it may be an "overshoot", but I'll reserve judgement until the report's in.

For 9 megs, I don't think I'll be buying one anytime soon!

You could always make an offer. You might get £50 off - and if you really haggle, you might get free delivery.
