Meanwhile In the Leafy Suberbs of England....
Imagine If you wrote a book... a Crime Thriller.... Now Imagine If you wrote this story line...
Your character ' Michael Wheatley ' Is a violent armed robber. So violent In fact, he has earned the nickname ' Skull Cracker '. and for good reason. In 2002, he was given not one but 13 life sentences. He raided 13 Building Society's and Banks while on Parole from a previous 27 year prison sentence.
Now Imagine If In your book, you wrote that Skull Cracker was not In a maximum security Institution but an Open Prison. Then you wrote that one day, he was allowed out of this Open Prison on day release to go shopping. Your character then disappears and Is now on the run.
You would be laughed out of the book publishing company building wouldn't you ?
But no folks... this Is not a chapter from a crap crime thriller but true.

Oh and just for good measure, police are advising the public not to approach him should we run Into him whilst going about our business.
You couldn't make It up.
