Sliding glass doors

Post by valerie »

Have you gotten any lately? My husband wants new

ones and I'm sort of on the fence about it. He wants the

kind that have the internal little mini-blinds. Any experience

pro or con? We wouldn't be installing ourselves, but

any hints/tips would be appreciated, thanks!

Research and spend the money on quality. The internal blinds on the ones my neighbor bought at Home Depot started failing with in weeks of the warranty expiring.

If it is available in your area I would recommend the Pella Designer Series slider with mini blinds. The blinds can be opened, closed or raised and they have an assortment of colors for the blinds. I have a 6' Pella SGD and after 6 years have had no problems. Unless they changed it the screen is nice also; it is self closing and the only issue I have is that it is on the inside of the door, but other then that works great.
