On a Quest for a Dress!

Can somebody explain to me why the clothes these days are so ugly? :-5 I've been searching for a new dress for Easter Sunday and OMG!!! I can't find anything I like!

A new dress for Easter Sunday has always been a big deal around here. When I was a little girl I used to get the whole outfit, the dress, usually a coat that matched it, a hat, shoes and even a little matching purse.

Don't know why but I've never searched for a new dress for Easter

Trouble is, dresses are mostly out of fashion nowadays so what dresses are about are "experimental" and do not have the style of classic dresses.

I have trouble with all fashion at the moment, not just dresses! (I do own skirts and one dress, but have only worn the dress once.. I love trousers)

Have you tried looking online? or are you not an online type of shopper? what kind of look are you trying to go for?

Buying a dress for mother of the groom duty, plus for shower, plus for rehearsal dinner. Well, the last 2 probably will be pants suits. Today I started by shopping online, but Easter is Sunday, so that might be a little late for you to try. Hate the whole thing. Wish they'd elope like I did.

Bryn you are exactly right, I know a lot of the women in my church.....in particular in the winter......have taken to wearing pants. It's hard to even find a dress these days.

I have done some shopping online. To me an Easter dress should be a very pretty feminine type of dress, a lot of what I see in the store are such dark colors.

If you're the mother of the groom then you'll need a fancy dress to be escorted down the aisle in.

No Oscar there are a couple of consignment shope and a couple of Goodwill stores around but that's about it.

LOL that's right when I was younger I did used to have the gloves too.
