Here we go again, despite the fact that it seems to have rained every day for the past year,

water bans are once again being enforced!

Intermiting rain today in Dublin. But the city council forbids the washing of your car:D

I know we've had a bit of good weather but nothing to brag about.

LOL!! Just heard on the news that some folks in London are warned against flushing the lieu!! EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! :wah:

was for toilet flushing: "If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush

it down". You get used to it, especially when you're limited to 12 gallons

of water per person per day. Sounds like a lot, but that's for everything.

Used to get wet in the shower, turn the water off, then soap up and

turn the water back on to rinse. Navy shower, I think they called it.

Not letting the faucet just run when you brush your teeth.

I'm still careful with water, it's such a precious resource!

we have been stage 3 water use for almost 3 weeks now due to flooding and our treatment plant not able to keep up with filteration. Yep no running water is a good thing. Big huge fines if caught using your outside hose. Imagine rain for 20+ days and idiots still think they need to water their grass and garden the first day the rain stops. What are they thinking??

What you have to realize is that it takes 4-5 years of above average rainfall to counteract one year of drought. The subsurface aquifers need time to replenish. Very few areas of the globe get their water supplies from rivers - it's all underground water that people can't see that mandate these restrictions. And people say the government doesn't care about the environment - HAHAHA.
