Here's a first step,
Choudary told the crowd: ‘The shops are run by Muslims and they know they are selling alcohol and they know the sale and consumption of alcohol is completely prohibited.
‘We cannot live among the non-Muslims and see this evil take place.’
I call bull.
He also defended three ‘fantastic’ men who were jailed last week for attacking drinkers while on a ‘Muslim patrol’.
He was referring to an incident in which Jordan Horner and another Islamic extremist told a couple they could not hold hands while walking down the street, because it was in a 'Muslim area'.
The radicals also attacked a group of men drinking in the road, and told a woman she would face 'hell fire' because of the way she was dressed.
Horner, 19, Ricardo MacFarlane, 36, and a 23-year-old man who cannot be named for legal reasons were sentenced to 68 weeks, 12 months and 24 weeks in prison respectively
I just stuck me that I've had the pleasure of living near this or that area controlled by gangs/thugs.
At least the criminals in my neck of the woods never pretended to be anything than what the were.
Criminal thugs.

What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.

As a Muslim Cleric I see no problem with him reminding the Muslim shopkeepers that there is a religious prescription against alcohol - I would draw the line, however, at trying to prevent non-Muslims from selling alcohol or trying to applying pressure to force the Muslim shopkeepers to stop.
As for doing it down Brick Lane - best of luck to him. Sheer economics says that he's on a sticky wicket - there are a few bring your own restaurants that draw the line at selling the stuff (and they suffer in terms of customer numbers) but I know of no eateries in the area that survive with a no alcohol policy and I do not believe that one could survive.

Same here Bryn... the one's here that sell alcohol are packed out weekends and busy all week. The few I've frequented In the past around here with a BYO really struggle. Drive past any night of the week and they are empty. They survive only due to the delivery and take out trade.
