I've watched several segments of Senator Cruz' 21-hour speech and I ended up in quite a different frame of mind than I started. I hadn't expected to find him likeable. He was, seriously so. He's a man of humility, intelligence, wit and considerable charm.

If Senator Cruz would consider running to succeed President Obama I'll contribute financially to his campaign and discuss his platform here. That doesn't mean I'd vote for him if I had a vote, but I'd have fun discussing his politics.

What was funny in a jimmy stewart movie isn't so funny in real life politicians and their poison everyone not standing behind them policy.

Washington (CNN) -- He spent more than 21 straight hours railing against any government funding for Obamacare. Then Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas joined the other 99 senators from both parties in voting Wednesday to move ahead on a spending plan expected to do just that.

It would be illegal for you to contribute financially to his campaign.

As for your first paragraph, I have nothing to say to you, nothing polite anyway.

I get the sense that Cruz is posturing to the hard core base with an eye on image more than anything else. I would be very surprised if he was not trying to set up a presidential run and whatever casualties there might be from his voting actions are mere collateral damage in his mind.

We are doing a week long series on Obamacare and something I've learned that I did not know was that local businesses cut hours on part time employees so that they would not be required to offer them insurance. What I don't get is that different employers offer different coverage and how much is paid out of pocket by the employee varies between businesses.

So couldn't employers offer insurance to all their employees on a 'pay your own way' basis?

Because if the latter is true then I have a question of my own - why on earth does the US judicial system think it has jurisdiction beyond its own borders on a matter that isn't a crime where the act was committed?

I know. It would be fun to meet you. That is, if you were allowed visitors before the death penalty. Firing squad I think.

Next time you read about how cheezy private business is. The President won't even cover his 'splainers.

Workers at ObamaCare call center angry after being offered jobs without health benefits

The Contra Costa Times reports the call center, which is set to be opened Oct. 1, attracted about 7,000 applicants after the county won the right to operate it earlier this year. Workers and local politicians say they believed that most if not all of the positions at the center would be full-time with benefits.

However, out of the 147 call center employees, only 103 were offered permanent full-time agent positions. The rest are considered "permanent intermittent customer service agents," Lauren Brosnan from Contra Costa County's Employment and Human Services department tells FoxNews.com.

Some of those workers tell the Contra Costa Times they were led to believe they would be getting full-time positions when they in actuality were "intermittent" employees, and only learned the positions were part-time after completing an orientation earlier this month.

So, Tude. Don't just hit and run, I'd like a thought-out reply to my query here.

California opted out of both the federal Obamacare call-center system and the partnership option and decided to go in-house, it created Covered California to operate the call-centers State-wide.

In what possible way does a California State-run utility cutting corners as you describe reflect badly on President Obama, which is what you claimed: "The President won't even cover his 'splainers".

Adolf Hitler was charismatic as well, but he blew up the world. Politicians like Cruz scare the crap out of me. They're the kind of radical politician depicted in Stephen King's "The Dead Zone." They'd start a nuclear war in just to cement their "legacy" to the world. You know, Anti-Christ-types.

I thought the hypocrisy was obvious, not much there to explain.

Far as California, sorry there is so much going on just can't keep up with every liberal/progressive move.

WOW

Whenever somebody brings up Hitler, they lost me.

I really don't know Ted Cruz, and this applies to him too

Folk that scare me are the likes of Obama and his Klan who are hell bent on taking all that I earned and saved.

Not as dramatic as war, Storm Troopers with evil guns, slaughtering people in the streets.

Socialism can be a slow, painful death.

You're so ridiculous. No one is taking anything from you. It's all in your head; paranoia, probably based on ignorance. The happiest countries, like those in Scandinavia, are free-market socialist. You don't have enough to take anyway. It wouldn't be worth it. Geez.

Are you confusing so-called "communist" (there has never in history actually been a communist country) dictatorships with countries like Sweden?

Maybe you don't feel you deserve a more equitable arrangement. I do. I deserve a more equitable arrangement.

I watched Cruz's senate race carefully. He seldom even acknowledged that the job he was vying for was to represent Texas and Texans. His was a national campaign funded by nationalist interests - very few Texans. He clearly only has eyes for being top dog. I don't trust him as far as I can spit.

FactChecking ‘Pernicious’ Obamacare Claims

Sen. Ted Cruz’s 21-hour talk-a-thon and President Obama’s joint appearance with former President Clinton will keep us busy for a while, but so far we’ve seen our share of false, misleading and not-quite-right statements:

and more: We are still reviewing the 21-hour, overnight talk-a-thon by Sen. Ted Cruz, and we found some more claims about Obamacare that are false:
