Bad kitty!!

Post by valerie »

Last night about 10:30 I was in bed reading, just about

to put the light out when I hear this HORRENDOUS crash

that sounded like it came from the kitchen. Jump up to

investigate, and oh my goodness what a mess! Apparently

kitty Lola (does this flower pot make my hips look big?)

had jumped up on the kitchen counter to peek out the

window I had left open a bit and got spooked (probably

by a certain German shepherd!) and left flower pots,

coffee making items, 2 ceramic soap dispensers, etc.

in her wake. JUST what I wanted to start cleaning up at

that time of night. My one violet was at the peak of bloom,

and Lola managed to break off all but 2 tiny clusters.

Dirt everywhere, tile counter so naturally, down in all the grout

lines, too.

Sigh.

Don't worry folks, she didn't get a spanking, and she's still

loved.

Oh how I empathise !!!!

My Oscar Is responsible for similar. The worst was when he actually managed to scale the Mantlepiece and down came Peter's aircraft statue's.

Does yours hide like mine for three days?

Think how funny that would have looked though... She would have been running in place on the slippery counter, everything flying helter skelter...

HA HA no, she doesn't hide for 3 days, not my Lola. Way too bad ass for

that. She runs upstairs, but then if you approach her, her tail goes up

and she starts winding around your legs... What, ME? I didn't do anything!

Hmmm Snooze, maybe I should set up a motion sensor and camera to get video

of the next time!! (Oh God, there's going to be a next time?!?!?!?)

It's that look of sheer surprise that gets me when they've done It ? What me ? Where?

One of the funniest I ever saw and so wished I had on film was when we got Oscar a new fur basket. We put It on the dining table as that was the

favoured spot of the month.... a highly polished dining table. He leapt up onto It and then slid at speed along the length of the table , flew off the end and crashed to a heap on the floor. I know I shouldn't have laughed but It was the look of disgust he glanced the basket before stomping off.

Another time, I'd just washed the pots after a sunday roast and for no rhyme or reason, he leapt onto the draining board bringing the lost down on the floor.

We don't put anything on the coffee table any more as he likes to stretch out on that and slowly edge everything to the edge with his paws.

We really must try and get our cats antics on film girls.

The reason my husband sometimes calls him ' cooking fat'
