Discrimination law for obese people ????

Post by Oscar Namechange »

Obese woman claiming £227 a week in benefits says a discrimination law should be brought in so she can get a job | Mail Online

I don't think so.

Surely any employer has a right to expect his work-force to be healthy?

She may be healthy now but her weight could lead to all sorts of health problems.

Same thing is true about hiring smokers.
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

I just googled smoker in america and its in the low 20% now for adults.

I don't think we have 20% smokers where I work. I know that none of the upper management smokes. Illinois has the 15 feet from an entrance law about smoking, but our workplace does not allow it anywhere on our property, including in your car on our property. Anyone who leaves the building on break is required to clock out and back in.

On the other hand... we can have pot lucks any time we feel like it.

Never had a problem with prohibiting smoking indoors. The outside thing is simply vindictive. Before you know it the Heath Nazis will control soda pops.

Oh wait,

Bloomberg's ban prohibits 2-liter soda with your pizza and some nightclub mixers
What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.
