The Tingle Creek...

Post by Oscar Namechange »

The Tingle Creek Is one of the most exciting National Hunt races of the calender.

It Is very often the case that the winner will go on to head The Queen Mother Champion Chase In March at Cheltenham.

It's a grade 1 National Hunt Chase run over 2 miles and 13 fences.

It's been dominated over the past few years by trainer Paul Nicholls with victories from Kauto Star, Twist Magic and Masterminded but trainer Nicky Henderson Is looking for Nicholl's crown this year.

Two giants of racing will dominate this race and It's being billed as "The Clash of the Titan's...

For me, there are only two horses In the race and It'll just be a case of who will prevail.

Paul Nicholl's Sanctuaire Is 5/2.... known as Blackie by his devoted grooms

Nicky Henderson's horse who he quoted as " Gigantic and Scary" , Sprinter Sacre Is the 4/9 favourite....

For me there can be no other bet than a reversed forecast of the two.

Sprinter Sacre and Sanctuaire about to go under orders.... I may just pee myself with excitement..

Both unbeaten.... The horse described as ' Gigantic and Scary' against the horse described as 'The reformed lunatic'

Sprinter Sacre wins the Tingle Creek by 15 lengths.

At 18 hands, this horse Is Indeed ' gigantic'..... and after being led to post early to get him away from spectators and other horses, he Is Indeed, 'Scary'

The race In full

It's emerged that his 15 lengths win was without the horse even coming off the bridle.... absolutely astonishing and scary.

Horses are on the bridle' when they are travelling within themselves, i.e., the jockey Isn't having to ask them to go quicker. Off the bridle' means they jockey Is having to push the horse along, and often also use the whip to get him to maintain his position.

Can't wait to see this beast at Cheltenham In March.
