We each of us have invaluable lessons we could make public.

Here's mine:Never believe or pay a cold caller on the phone, not even if it sounds true.

Never answer a call that has the number blocked.
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

Especially if they get teasy when you ask for a number so you can call them back when you've checked them out :wah:

If dire necessity means you have to use a public convenience it is always a good idea to check you have picked one with sufficient paper for your use.

When out and about, take an extra layer - you can always take a jersey off; it's hard to put it on if you don't have one.

chuckle. Dunno. It's a liniment for bruises I mentioned in your carcrash thread. Not important. (I said brandy and rhubarb originally, but spot corrected me)

No - when reminded it rang true. And it wasn't the point of the story anyway.

Which isn't to say applying whisky internally and externally wouldn't be good advice in certain circumstances, and rhubarb has been a well known panacea for centuries. So this is definitely, "Good advice". :)

Gin and tonic works well against malaria, of course.
