Cable faces 'traitor' jibes after talks with Labour over possible alliance after the next General Election | Mail Online

I have always believed Cable to be a dubious so and so.

Well, it can't get much worse for the Liberal Democrats and I wouldn't blame any of them looking elsewhere.

I agree that It can't any worse for The Lib Dems but after this article, I very much doubt he would get returned In his Constituancy . He won't get the Lib Dem vote for they will see him as a traitor and he won't get the Labour vote for they will see him as a traitor....

Good point...though, for me, he's still one of the few politicians with some integrity intact.

To be fair, I think he talks sense which Is a rarity In the Lib Dem party which Is why this hedging his bets nonsense leaves me disappointed In him. It could even cost him him his seat which Is why I think he's a twerp.

He Is respected and In my humble opinion, would have been better off sticking at the Lib Dems and seeing off Clegg In a leadership challenge. If successful he could even save the Lib Dems ready for the next General. Without new leadership, the Lib Dem vote In the 2015 General Is going to be a bloodbath with a Labour Landslide. Cable Is or was before this revelation, the most credible LD MP to set a leadership challenge.

The British electorate look for Integrity In their MP's. Nick Griffin Is capable of being a grade A plonker but he's true to his word and loyal to his party. That's why they get a million votes and why the Lib Dems have been trailing In behind the BNP In local elections. As the electorate, we forgive someone for being a plonker, Boris as an example but we demand Integrity. I fear Cable has lost his.
