Rumors Cannot Save Falun Gong

Post by gardener »

Falun Gong organizations have been constantly going all out to fabricate rumors. Recently they put all of their media organizations into full-capacity operation, endlessly wholesaling all kinds of rumors. Some internet users said that news reports which were published by Falun Gong media outlets and were finally confirmed as rumors were either directly fabricated by Falun Gong media or false stories reproduced by the Falun Gong media.

The rumor-fabrication history of Falun Gong organizations revealed that every time when major events happened to China and the Chinese Communist Party, they will intensify their efforts to take advantage of the opportunity to make trouble through fabricating and disseminating rumors. They wrapped lies as "facts" and turned surmises into "actual occurrences". Their purpose is to unsettle people's mind, sow discord, confuse people and create disturbances.

Fabricating rumors and causing trouble are the housekeeping skills of the Falun Gong cult. Falun Gong organizations fabricated lies to deceive and confuse people and undermine social stability. While Falun Gong's act of fabricating rumors is shameful, other people spreading such rumors are also disgraceful. Some people spread rumors out of curiosity, wishing only to follow the herd; some people regard themselves as "informed sources", swinging at shadows. Other people spread rumors because of their lack of legal awareness, assuming the law will fail when violators are legion. While people who spread rumors may not be ill-willed, they are in practice abetting the ill-doers by forwarding comments on certain internet placards, which has the effect of "second-time transmission (of the false information)".

Obviously lies can not save the Falun Gong cult, but we should improve our own ability to distinguish right from wrong so as to avoid being deceived unknowingly.

Millions of Falun Gong practitioners around the world will mark a historic day on 25 April commemorating the 13th anniversary of the largest public appeal since the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.

On 25 April 1999, over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered quietly in Beijing to ask for the release of fellow adherents who had been beaten and detained in a nearby city. More broadly, they sought to raise concerns with government leaders about ongoing harassment of Falun Gong at the hands of a few high-ranking officials.

The event captured headlines around the world. But more importantly to those who were there, it was a chance to explain to the Chinese leadership how Falun Gong had brought health and harmony to their lives and that the attacks by some Chinese officials were unwarranted.

Thirteen years later, Falun Gong practitioners and their supporters are honouring the spirit of peace, justice and compassion with which that appeal was held. They are remembering the tremendous price Falun Gong pracitioners and their families in China have paid for their unyielding dedication to their faith and its underlying principles of honesty, kindness and forbearance in the face of unrelenting brutality.

WHAT: Hundreds to attend: Candlelight Vigil at Belmore Park, Haymarket Banners of Remembrance along George Street, China Town

WHEN: Tuesday, 24 April 5.00pm - 8.30pm

Aren't the Falun Gong the good guys? Peaceful members of a religious group, horribly persecuted by the evil chinese government? That's how I remember it.

Not if you're the chinese gummint.

From what I read in the teachings of Li Hongzhi, "founder" of FalunDafa, We are basically talking an exploration of the teachings of The Buddha in a modern environment.

How can that be a bad thing?

Ah. Glad you asked. They suggest that obedience to the gummint is of little true importance in one's life.

What a concept.
