What a great idea! It's hard to imagine such an unfamiliarity with fresh & wholesome foods as these people experience and I hope this endeavor remains successful.

I know of a place in Yorkshire where they have gone further.

Wow, sounds like another project that started out small with a minimal amount of volunteers and has taken off big time! In their case, they aren't just improving eating habits and education but they're beautifying the area in the process. I love the idea of grassroots efforts ... there's power in them.
