Oh, more than a physical procedure, it has religious consequences also.

What kind of religion gets you to hold down a baby and cut bits off it? If you allow one such procedure on eligious grounds you have to allow all mutilations. Female circumcision is also justified by some in the name of religion do you think that should be allowed in the states?

a doctor here is being prosecuted at the moment because he circumcised a woman in her 50's , None of my boys are circumcised but the number of their friends who are is astounding. When my 23 year was born they didn't automatically do it you had to ask ...........so there are a lot of people who are asking for it . I htink mainly because they want their sons to look like their dads,

There was never any doubt in my mind as a new mother that I would NOT allow someone to cut my sons penis. There was no religious meaning to it for us and I read that the uncircumcised can keep it just as clean as circumcised.

Just curious Martha, but was your son's father intact and did he have a say in the matter?

BTW---------I don't favor routine circumcision.

Yes, intact. Yes, he did have a say in what happened to our infant sons.

Yikes! wow I thought you meant was it intact and indeed it is, but were you asking whether he was circumsised? If so then, no, he is not intact.
