and as the lights burn brightly at grumpy towers the coilition once more shoots its self in the foot.

Plans for a new "bonfire of the quangos", in which scores of unelected bodies are axed, have been "botched" by the Government and may not save much money, according to MPs.

Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude announced in October he was slashing the number of such organisations from 901 to 648 to "save the state money" and usher in a "new era of accountability"

who else lives in the real world that believes the only way to reform the quangos isnt to reduce them but get rid of the lot immediatley.

labour have got a bare faced cheek to call for savings when they created these quangos in the first place and placed the country in the worst recession since the 1920s.

while the coilition keeps back pedaling and labour shout worn out ideas from the sidelines this could give strength to the alternative parties i.e

ukip,bnp,green etc.

or when its time to vote do we dump the colition and shuffle labour back in as they retrive ideas from the dustbin they threw in there some years ago dust them off and present them as a plan.

Yes, the tories get in by an overwhelming majority which is what is likely to happen unless there is electoral reform.

Cameron is also talking about selling off the forestry commission estates (as you probably know the forestry commission was set up because private landowners had almost completely denuded the country of trees so timber for building had to be imported).
