yes the lady grumpy is clearing up from last nights party dancing around barefoot on the carpet to her abba cd and the editor is still smashed.

as for the old grumps despite being a little under the weather i,ll be watching alice in wonderland on sky with my daughter after her ladyships finished clearing up.

anyway enough about us just to get the new year off to a damp squib i came across this very disturbing story.

AN open prison was in flames today in a New Year's Day rampage by inmates thought to have been sparked by attempts to breathalyse them to check for contraband alcohol.

Windows were smashed and fires started in a number of buildings at Ford Prison near Arundel, West Sussex, in the early hours of this morning.

now do i live on the planet dippy or am i right you forgo pleasures like alcohol when you break the law?

isnt this supposed to be prison you know a place punishment where do as you are told then be released in to society to take up your rightfull place as a reformed citizen?

this is unacceptable the level of cover and the systems in place which proves just how quickly things can break down when an emergency such as this occurs.

it shows the big holes in place where prisoners are in charge not the prison officers.

if they cannot get the leaders for this outrage charge the whole wing on one joint charge of prison mutiny and lock them up in a closed prison far from home.

or make the scum live in tents around the devastation they have created

and make good the damage they have caused.
