Star Wars 3D holograms 'close to reality'

Post by OpenMind »

This morning, I was thinking about 3-D TV and how consumers seemed to have been taken in by the visual trick created by the TV and glasses. But, I wondered if it was the precursor to holographic imagery. It would be about right that capitalists would try and capitalise on a sub-standard technology before something far improved emerged.

So, it was a surprise when I came across this article this evening. Coincidence?

It is alleged that Princess Leia had the best holo recorder on her planet.
