Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Post by Odie »

As I watched our St. Patrick's Day parade today, you can tell the Irish sure know how to throw a party!

A sea of green everywhere, hats, coats, scarfs and flags!

So to all my friends here on Wednesday, have a great day, its yours to celebrate!

Your country is magnificent with rolling hills, flowers that stream for miles and towns that open their hearts up to strangers.

For clarification purposes isn't St. Patrick's day on Wednesday the 17th?

And on that, hoping all that celebrate St. Patrick's day enjoys it and is safe! :yh_wink

PS: I have significant Irish Ancestry btw... :yh_wink

Some of my best friends are Irish and I've always loved Irish music and dancing. I remember, as a wee snot, asking my mom why we were'nt Irish. Mom said to "shut up and eat your Knedlíky", (Czech dumplings).

It should be a great day. Then the celebrations go on until Sunday night.

If the weather keeps up the way it has been (which has been good), it will make for a good party.

I wish we celebrated St. George's Day even half as well as St. Patrick's Day is celebrated ! But the English seem such stick-in-the-muds! Misogs !

Have a super celebration on St. Patrick's Day !

It's the first day of the Cheltenham Races over here, it's the Irish moment in the British racing calendar, they come in their thousands. An Irish jockey was on the radio a few minutes ago discussing the extent to which the rider makes a difference to the result. "There are good jockeys, there are great jockeys, they put their arses into the right place at the right time".

It took me five minutes before I realized he'd actually said "horses", it's a wild brogue they have over there.

It is, I suppose, possible. Has she any interest in horse racing?
