In America the post office has not made a profit in years. Regular snail mail will never completely go away though. How else could they send you all those pre-approved credit offers?

The internet orders have to get mailed out. The increase in online ordering is fairly significant. Amazon uses Canada Post, as do the cable companies mailing modems back and forth to customers. There are quite a few large clients of the mail system. Have you gone to a post office lately and seen the Christmas line ups?

I would have to say no. I do know that at the beginning of next year, there will no longer be mail service on Saturdays. Yeah, one day where I don't have to worry about all that "junk" mail in my mailbox.
