Welcome to the garden. Since you've moved, I'm sure the baby will help be a great beginning of some conversations for you to make new friends. Your baby is adorable! My son was 8 weeks early. He's almost 22 and you'd never know it to look at him now. :wah:

Hi there and welcome to FG :-6

I will be a new mom come December and will be going it alone as well. I've selfishly prayed that Lane resembles me and not his dad, I know the reminder will be hard too but know that YOU are the one sticking around raising him/her (I may've missed where you mentioned the gender, sorry)

Congratulations on your new flat and it's good to hear that you have a support system. I don't know what I'd do without my parents going through this myself. Very good luck to you and your munchkin :-4

welcome Second Opinion and baby!:-6

- raising a baby is tough on a single parent, and you will pull through this.

were all here to help you. I have had 2 boys, so I can help you with anything any time.

I'm lonely to, my husband walked out on me.....so already we have something in common.;)

Welcome to the forum garden, I am sure you will enjoy some of the conversations we have on here. You may even seek expert advice from the mums on here.

There are a lot of us that have done that and worn the t-shirt, its not an easy road, but a great journey.:-6

That's nice Chezz... She's in a bad place at the moment and she's looking forward to making friends here. She will really appreciate every-one's kindness. Thanks all and she'll be back next week.

Second Opinion, my vanished post merely raved on a bit about the need to get out of the house, even though every effort is tough when you've been up half the night... See if you can find a playgroup in your area. The face to face mutual support of a group of mums is really great. And for the times you're gated, we're all here for you. Hope you can get regular computer access.

Yep, December is creeping up me quickly :) I'm not sorry I'm on my own really because I know my son and I are better off. I'm not jaded to think it won't be the hardest thing I've ever done but I like a challenge and I won't fail my child :-4

Your son sounds adorable, I'll to look around a bit and see if I can find the piccies Oscar posted. On the stress note, yeah... I had to make some adjustments myself so I understand. Just keep your head up girly and know we're all here for ya. This place has been a great place for me when I've gone thru things in the past and it continues to be a place I can run to.

Lane is actually both girl and boy. But mostly I've only heard it as a boy's name.

Over here there are lots of names that are both male and female. I've dated a Courtney and a Kelly :wah:
