I didn't know that N. Griffin is a "convicted criminal" - what's he done?

I've looked it up, & there's no "allegedly" about it - he was convicted.

meh... from what I've read, she probably had heard it for years from her old mum :

From The Scotsman, November 9, 2008

Edward Stourton, one of the BBC's most respected broadcasters, has claimed that the Queen Mother was a "racist" and "ghastly old bigot".

I'd hardly class piggybacking on your minion's invite (automatically issued on the grounds that he's a member of the London Assembly) as being invited yourself - more as desperation.

I can't see what all the fuss is about. The Queen is pretty groovy about these things. It's not like he's likely to appear on the balcony and give an anti-immigration speech. He'll probably be very polite and well behaved.

If we want to be sure we have a so called democracy, then we must sit back and watch. No choice.

He is the leader of a political party which is, like it or not, gathering ground.

Many people say they no longer trust Labour and are not entirely happy with Cameron, some are angry enough to use their vote for the BNP.

Not sure about the rest of the UK, but ENGLAND, will never have a Facist Government.....it's in our DNA to fight for freedom of speech and the right to say NO, ENOUGH!

BNP will not accept that, so we know they cannot win.

It's a hollow victory to be accepted to the Queen's Garden Party....merely a formality, nothing to concern us. :-6

I SO agree Oscar!

I still honestly do not think there is any real danger of them getting into any kind of power though. Maybe a storm in a teacup, and if only Cameron was more OPEN about his policies?????????????

Had interesting leaftlet through the post today re: BNP, asking for our vote on 4th June.

Reminded us that if Turkey joins the EU, approx 80 million Muslim Turks will be queing to get here.

Now 80 million is a total farce :) But I think at least 2 million will try, and that is 2 million too many for this crowded Island.

According to the BNP, all major political parties will endorse this...which is a sad indictment on how out of touch they all are on how we feel about mass immigration.

We do not have the funds in this economic crisis to spare to pay these people before they find work, if they do, and we already have 2.2 million of our own people out of work!

How in a bankrupt country are we going to find the money for the Benefits for 4.2 million people? :-3

The problem i find with the mainstream parties is the reluctence to tackle the mass immigration issue as god forbid, anyone does, you are considered a neo-nazi, fascist, racist thug. I do believe that the BNP do say what many feel about mass immigration in this country but fear to say. I have no problem at all with immigrants and asylum seekers but as you said, when our country is facing our own economic problems that will take years to resolve, we can not stretch the benifit system any further than we are now.

Great post Oscar, and I would add only I would love to know the real reasons behind the reluctance for the main political parties in the UK to draw a halt to mass immigration?

I remember shortly after Gordon brown took over from Blair, he addressed immigration and was immediately accused of being racist by the Tories. I remember his reply which was 'To curb immigration is common sense, not racism'. There i believe lies the problem. The oh so politically correct world that New Labour created has now imploded on them.

Nick Griffin has now been stopped from attending the garden Party according to today's mail. If no-one made a fuss, they wouldn't even know he was there
