Terrible for the child.

Terrible for the dog.

Will family services be investigating, I wonder?

Why was a baby of that age left with the pitbull fgs.....now both are dead and I know who I blame thats for sure and its not the dog.
Women are bitchy and predictable ...men are not and that's the key to knowing the truth.

These animals, and certain other types (N.B. not "breeds" - "types") are prohibited by law in the UK, as well as allowing certain behaviour.

Defra, UK - Animal health and welfare - Animal Welfare - The Control of Dogs

and:

Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (c. 65)

(amended 1997)

it doesn't sound as if the parents left the child alone, they were with him, so not the parents fault at all. They can be faulted for having a pit bull around at all... they are also banned in Ontario, and rightly so.

No matter how friendly or sweet the owners think the dog is, pit bulls can at any time wig out and attack doing the most damage of any dog. You have to be nuts to have on in the house - unless of course you are a drug dealer....

I just read the article Carolly and I agree with you. The stupid parents who knew they had a dangerous dog on thier hands, yet decided to keep the dog. They should have given the dog away to somebody who could have possibly trained it to be better behaved.

but then again, Quin had a pitbull come after him last spring:-5, very scary indeed. And the owner's blamed us:-5:-5! Well, it was their fault as they let the dog out unleashed but in the end the dog got run over by a car & died. Now, that was not our fault.
