How do you read a thread?

Post by BTS »

I ask this because sometimes I will be reading through posts on a thread and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see something I have to reply to right then. So I reply and then as I read on through I see it has been covered already.......DRATTT

So I try not to fire off too soon but on a 3 or 4 page thread sometimes it is hard to do....... then again...DRATTTT

Am I the only one guilty?:)

Not at all.

If I waited until I'd read all of the posts in a thread before I replied to any of them then I'd never reply. I fire off my responses as I read the posts which can be embarassing by the time I've read a couple of posts further.

Far better when I catch a thread from the beginning and I'm keeping up with the conversation.

If i get the urge to reply to a post i click the multu quote button first,, then carry on reading. If by the time i get to the end of the thread i still want to reply to that post all i have to do is click post reply and teh quote is there for me to reply to,,, sometimes i find another one or two i want to reply to ,, so just keep clicking the multi quote button:)

Back in the olden days, when I was a newbie, I was guilty of such transgressions. Blame it on the impulse of youth. Now, I try to take the time and meander through a thread before I post a reply. "Look before you leap" as it were.

With practice and patience, you'll find that you can build your stamina until you can go right until your partner - erm, I mean the thread - is ready for you to, um, BAM!!!!! :yh_glasse
