Its Been A While

Post by strongirl56 »

Life has been pretty stressful for me like usual and I've been dealing with it just fine. It's just that once in a while the 3 week relationship with my best friend would come back and haunt me. We are still best friends and classmates, what we tend to talk about are mostly related to the class that we are taking though. I tend to get sad everytime that 3 week relationship come rushing back to me. The memories that we shared, I kept all the emails and the one letter that he wrote me. I want to talk to him about our relationship and how it makes me feel when it comes rushing back to me, but I also know that he doesn't want me to. It's a really frustrating thing for me. I am bitter and resentful of how that relationship ended. I regret doing all the things that I did which led to the break up of that relationship. It's good that I am a strong girl and that I know that I won't do anything stupid when that relationship comes rushing back to me. I think I can handle everything. Yes I am really frustrated, stressed out, overwhelmed, sad, worrisome, often feel bad and guilty at the moment. School's been stressing me out, I might get fired at work, am struggling to write the personal statement for the MSW program, am currently having relationship problems, and maybe some self esteem issues as well. I know that I will get through this. I HAVE TO. I know that I have the inner strength to get through this; I refuse to give up.

The personal statement for the MSW program is basically a five page essay that I'm supposed to write and I'm having trouble writing it because I do not know much about "what being a social worker is all about". It's really driving me crazy. I have four classes, and an internship to worry about on top of that too. The MSW application is due in March, so I'm running out of time too. Sigh.

Well, since you know what the problem is, you've already made a good step in the right direction. Do you know any social workers you can ask? Are there any websites you can go to? I don't know where social workers might be based under the US system, but might there be some in the local hospitals or working for local councils?

It's a start! Good luck. :)

Lone voice: "I'm not."

As of right now, I have no idea who I can talk to and what websites I can look at, but I will ask around and take a look at that, when I have time.
