i find it fascinating that two people have seen fit to register here at FG just for the express purpose of attacking my contemporaneous opinions of the unfolding Jessica Lunsford case. especially since i am hardly the only person who held those opinions. there had a be a thousand people at court tv who felt the same, as well as on other boards. but i'm fair game since i'm a cop i suppose. i stand by whatever i said at the time i said it. and every florida deputy with whom i am associated concurred with my constitutionally-protected opinions.investigations go down many roads.( as well as the facts i posted in re: police records.) i can only surmise that the new posters who wish to excoriate me have a personal problem. since i don't know what the personal problem is, i cannot address it. further, i do not post here in an official capacity, just as a citizen like any other.

I never said you did not have the right to express your opinions. My problem is your tunnelvision about Mark being a "Rodent" and that the body never got past the driveway from the very begining. Your post lead a great number of people down the WRONG road and you then vanish from thread without even admitting you wrong thinking........... And you were wrong.

If you want me to cut and paste all your false slandeous statements here (That you STILL defend).......I can and will.

BTS, it happens a lot on here, one or two people jump to conclusions, and then everyone else follows on from there, thinking that the persons "own thoughts" on the subject are that of fact.

Don't get too excited about it, if you have seen/read something different just post it with the source reference.

Seems to me that since LC is a cop, they expect her to be right, about everything, every time. What folks seem to forget is, aside from being a cop, she's a person. People are never perfect. I followed the case, and saw lots of people expressing lots of opinions about what may have happened. None of them got picked on. I don't really care what goes on or what was said in other forums, I care about this one. If someone is here for the sole reason of beating up LC, who is my friend, I would say to them, don't get too comfortable. LC is liked and respected here.

By the way, BTS, since you're concerned about proper spelling, you misspelled "misspelled"

I would have posted my opinion police officer or no police officer, made no difference to me.

Yes, my spellin is suspect I guess and no, I am not a know it all. I respect her opinion but I do not respect the indifference to Mark and his actions prior to being exonerated. This is what leads to people being falsely accused and tried on circumstantial evidence, I believe that if she were in charge the hunt might have ended weeks ago with Mark being arrested.

Thank god this sheriff was diligent to the end.............

Just my opinion............ Just as her post were just opinions

LC i feel it is fascinating the concern and reporting of these abductions! People are bound to comment about a child killer, one cannot help but express emotions here. As i do not read the Amber-Alerts as that is my right, as i feel unsafe in areas that involve childrens harm, rape and other nasty topics. I would be an untrue person to respond as it is upsetting to me and there isn't much i can do about these problems, that are happening more and more.

Address the problem and lets move on. As long as i am not in trouble, the persons annoying need clarification. HELP, i didn't do it. :lips:

My point, BTS, is that if you're here JUST to attempt to dig at LC, you will find a LOT of opposition. There's nothing wrong with debate, argument, or trying to prove a point that differs from someone else's. Just be sure you don't have some stupid vendetta that you're going to try to play out here. It won't happen.

And if "police officer or no police officer" is really how you feel, then I suggest you point out the "flaws" in every other poster's replies.

You know what BR, I started to point them all out, but as I read and read eveything trianglated back to LC. And NO I do not have a vendetta whatsoever.

I do have one of your quotes in reply to LC tho :

"WTF is that all about??? He's too busy??? How in hell are you ever too busy to search for your own missing child?? I was wondering if he really was involved, and now he has removed any doubt. This is getting weirder by the minute"..

I really don't believe behaviour that includes veiled threats should be used in the garden, not by anyone. New members should be allowed to voice how they feel about things, and be given a chance to see how it is in the garden, before established members get the arse with them.

Thing is if you react like you are, how do you expect new members to react... Why are people so unreasonable on the internet ???

Is it unreasonable for a new member to be here for the sole purpose of attacking another member? If you will read carefully, letha, you will see that I said, quite specifically, that IF THIS WAS HIS ONLY REASON FOR BEING HERE, then it wasn't a good idea. Just like I would do if someone came along and went after you.

I'm not real clear on the "veiled threats" comment. What am I gonna do? Type him into submission?

If he thinks he is going to use this place for some personal agenda, it's just not going to happen. If he wants to contribute in other areas besides the threads LC starts, more power to him.

I'm assuming other new members who see these things will get a real clear idea of how things work and also are bright enough to see that I'm not jumping on every new person. Just the ones who seem to have ulterior motives.

Forums become "unreasonable" when people "gang" up on others. It does not keep the atmosphere interesting, but. For anyone to have the nerve to disagree, i feel their ideas need to be included and appreciated?

Debate and discussion should be about thoughts and comments! Let the person say what they feel? Never expell a seed that comes to the garden to grow.

I say listen and watch as plants can thrive in a healthy envirnoment, has the soil been PH tested lately?

Sweet soils always produce the best plants, with out plants, there is no color. I say weed out strangulation, for without growth, no-one blooms to their fullest. :lips:

Sure they all get that too.A foot out of place, huh? Whatever you want to think of me letha, is fine. I have "jumped on " a grand total of 3 new members. Two of which are no longer with us. That's 2 out of how many who have joined since me? The third being BTS, who MAY be here just to stir the pot. (Notice that I said "may".) He followed LC from another forum and has contributed nothing to any other topics.

I have reason to be skeptical about the intentions of a new member, and if you don't like that there isn't a whole lot I can do about it. I'm having difficulty mustering up much concern about it, either.

BR: let me repeat..............

I have no vendetta, I saw a thread that was WAY off base and pointed it out..........

I will say it again

"At least Beth had the courage to apologize"

If you think I was a pickin on her then you are pretty thin skinned in my opinion. I do not care who wrote all the flaming posts, it just happened to be a police officer that was behind them.

I did not enter this forum to pick on nobody just state my opinion and what I saw happening.

I could have pasted the whole thread but you can read that yourself.

I used LC because of the road she took everyone down (Mark was innocent...Capice?) If it was you that posted all those things then it would be you I singled out.

With that said, I do apologize if I have offended anyone with my opinion.

You said:

"And if "police officer or no police officer" is really how you feel, then I suggest you point out the "flaws" in every other poster's replies".

So my point was, to point it out as you asked me to (you can go back on your own and see all the others in the thread just as easy as I can)

I think the bottom line is that no one stated their case as strenuously as lc. One of the things that you did not prove or state was why didn't anyone else voice another opinion that was as opinionated as the one that you opine? Or was there?

People are sheep! They will follow what they think to be the leader, hence, Judas Goat. The Judas goat is not leading its friends to the death camps. It is just traipsing along doing its thing. A little sophistication please. One-mindedness is all cool under some circumstances but there is a limit. Obviously you have more to say on other issues. Do so. I'm not saying that you should leave this thread just make note that there are and have been people here for the duration.

We resent you telling them that they were wrong. What would have been wrong would be if no one knew about Jessica.

I have this feeling that a pre-ordained clique runs this board. I think this is the only site of it's kind I have found that isn't over-run by extreme conservatives so I thought it would be a great place to park. Only a handful of people respond to me and hostility oozes from those I've reacted to that don't want anything to do with anyone outside the clique. It's only an observation but the message is fairly clear. I'll hang around to see if any of my favorite subjects come up but a strong feeling of being steered to the curb resonates in my mind. This is not including everyone and I hope I'm wrong.

Het Bullet and 3kids4me! A fellow Missourian! The exotic locales of people on here is great!! I need to get used to the people and formats I think. I'm a battle scarred leftist licking his wounds after a rough ride warring with religious freaks at another site. People here are much more laid back and quite simply; I'm not used to it! I have many more interests outside of politics and really am a nice guy but you're right Bullet, I'm definately not welcome to some. My mother always told me I was too damn sensitive!! Anyway, thank you for the support. It means alot. And KC says hello!!!! (But I wish I were in Scandinavia!)

Sorry, I don't notice the 'cliquey' aspect of this board. I just notice that certain people post more than others. Certain people such as myself make bold statements alot and get no response. I don't really post for attention, just to vent my opinions.

Anyway, I came in and started off criticising or at least questioning a mod and I was not booted out. In fact, that mod has shown me kindness. I think in all, these are probably mostly nice, regular people in here.

Death is more universal than life. For although everyone dies, not everyone truly lives.

I've been here for a while, though I haven't been posting much lately. Time is scarce these days...but I have to say that I don't know you or I would probably reply more often. Give people some time to get to you know you, and for you to know us (especially before deciding we have cliques).

Thank You AKarenina!!

Welcome David,

Things could be worse, you could be in Kansas City, Kansas where the attorney general spends most of his time and effort trying to find out what 14 year old girls are having sex so that he can have the 15 year old boyfriends arrested and charged with rape.

In any case, the assertions you have heard about LC leading us sheep around the board is so much BS. What we did have unfortunately was a situation where the victims (and I do include the entire family as they have to live with this terrible pain and loss) were not pristine and would have invited suspicion for certain.

We still don't know enough details and why this guy just happened to kidnapJessica on the one night the door was unlocked and Dad was not home. Maybe he tried other nights or maybe this was just a tragic coincidence.

LC and the rest of us had reason to suspect that it was an inside job although many of us speculated that it was a person outside the family but known to Jessica. No one got it right which is why you check out all the possibilities no matter how remote.

The good thing about the Forum from what I can see is that all views can be expressed here without fear of being run over by a freight train, probably only by a Hummer.

Wow! I had no idea at all about the dynamics you mentioned re: my old post. I never went to that thread because I have nothing to say about it really. Another tragedy to digest, etc. I'll have to re-read your post to make sure I understand the connections you've made!
