Yes I heard about this and what a joke it is, I mean how can the people suffer as they are, and yet supplies that have started to be provided are being rejected, simply because of where they come from!
I mean what is more important some silly foreign politics or human lives!! :-5

This is not the first time this has happened remember the uproar when the Giant Tsunami hit over in the western world it was horrific.
Now due to gun totting politics of their government they did not let in a plane load of help because they had reporters and aid search teams with them.

Its an enormous number of people to get killed in a hurricane, I am not completely sure of all the facts or why the death toll is so large in this instance, I'm quite sure that the unbelieveable obstructionism of the military government will contribute to there being a lot more unnecessary death before this all ends, how awful for the people. Hopefully the UN and the world community will be able to pressure the government into seeing some form of common sense about this terrible situation.

On the outside, it looks like an ordinary sports bottle. On the inside, there's a miracle: an extremely advanced filtration system that makes murky water filled with deadly viruses and bacteria completely clean in just seconds.

I believe I heard on the news yesterday that they let Americans in with some aid, did they let anyone else in?
I can't help but wonder why places in hurricane and tornado apt places, they rebuild with wood........(for instance, new orleans after katrina) I live in South Florida..........homes are built of concrete block. Is there a way to help these people make their own concrete or is it just way too expensive to make compared to wood?

You got to feel for these people,, the magnitude of the situation has a way of convincing politics out of any objections,, the slow response to katrina has showed many a lot,, in this country,,,I'd imagine..................
