Must admit today has actually been quite nice here, hard to see what all the fuss what about! :wah:

Down south is pretty grim though, I saw one live news report and they had to cut it off just after the start as the presenter kept getting blown over hehe.

All safe and well here down on the tip of England. It's been a very stormy day, wheelie bins are on the loose along with anything else thats not tied down. No school closures here and all the roads are open apart from the promenade due to the high tides.

It's great, I love it! :D

Yup!! Nothing like a bracing walk to clear out the cobwebs in weather like this. The kids hate it though :(

Especially when they have to walk home in that kind of weather from school or college and get drenched like my brother did earlier. Wouldn't surprise me if he has another cold now!

I don't mind the weather but I still would rather be indoors safe and warm with a nice mug of hot chocolate! :-6

Well, we still have electricity so the essay is finished

It's all calming down a bit out there at the moment.

Glad to hear you are all right BB!

I saw one lady last night on the news and she was in shock that her home had been flooded in the space of about 20 minutes - now that must have been a real shock for her I bet!

I guess we were lucky here, although right at the tip of Cornwall we are on the south coast and it appears the north coast around here was hit worst.

Quite a bit of wind damage, half of a cow shed got blown away on my sisters farm, luckily its not used for livestock. There are four ships sheltering in our bay still, I'm shocked to see them still there so there must be a bit more to come. Not caught up with the weather forecast yet.

Wow what amazing pictures there BB, thanks for posting the link. Those waves were HUGE no wonder the forecasters were warning coastal towns and cities to be careful, because anyone caught in those would be in a lot of trouble.

And typical of me to write off the weather here, because yes you guessed it, we got hit badly last night and into this morning. Thankfully not too much damage was caused besides a broken fence panel which was a relief.
